The only person I actively told was a cousin, & I didn't have to tell her. It is perfectly possible to manage without telling someone & plenty do - we don't discuss it, but it didn't feel like such a 'dirty' secret once I'd told someone. She wouldn't dare tell anyone, as if I repeated some of her secrets me going BR would be nothing by comparison.

One person has approached me having seen it in the local paper, but she got short shrift. I didn't see it myself, so my view is I can't worry about what I haven't seen for myself - it's done, it's over with & tomorrow is another day. There's absolutely no need to broadcast your business to other people.

Sorry to dump this thread back, but if you live a long way from your nearest court, far enough so that the local paper where the court is is different to where you live, does it go in the court's local paper, my local paper, or both?
I ask because that list someone linked to, mentions both papers!0 -
I told my family, which amounts to 2 sisters and my best friend. They knew how ill I was getting, there was no way I could have kept it from them and their support has been invaluable."Ginger Rogers did everything Fred Astaire did, except backwards and in high heels"
