    Student accounts are evil... Just get you into even more debt that will mare your first 20 yrs of life post Uni. I will be eating my words at some point in the next 3 years I am sure.

    I'm not sure that's right. I had a student account for 4 years at Uni and post-grad but there was no (significant) overhang. It all depends on how you manage the account.

    Student accounts generally offer preferential terms so they are to be welcomed I would have thought.

    Indeed you are right it depends how you manage the account. For me tho any over draft is eveil, when I leave uni I will owe far far too much anyway and to have an OD aswell is something i really want to avoid.:D
    Debt free and plan on staying that way!!!!

    Agreed. But for me the overdraft was an absolute necessity to be able to keep me from starving until the next 'parental contribution' was received.
