I'm not sure that's right. I had a student account for 4 years at Uni and post-grad but there was no (significant) overhang. It all depends on how you manage the account.
Student accounts generally offer preferential terms so they are to be welcomed I would have thought.0 -

Indeed you are right it depends how you manage the account. For me tho any over draft is eveil, when I leave uni I will owe far far too much anyway and to have an OD aswell is something i really want to avoid.:DDebt free and plan on staying that way!!!!0 -

Agreed. But for me the overdraft was an absolute necessity to be able to keep me from starving until the next 'parental contribution' was received.0 -
