    Yes the first refunds are due Nov/Dec, it's done in date order i.e. first people who applied get paid first.

    My husband flew on business during this period. Do you think the travel agent (corporate) will be reclaiming this. We did receive a form back in September but I binned it. Is it worth claiming do you think?

    I'm pretty sure I read that agents can't claim, just the passengers or corporate customers. It seems fair as the agents could easily 'forget' to pass on the rebate to their clients of 3-4 years ago.

    No. You certainly can assist your customers in filing their claims. However, you cannot sign the certification required on the claim form for your customers. The certification must be signed by the actual purchaser of the ticket.

    Strangely I kept all my details of my ski trip to California with Virgin in 2005. We travelled with a large group of friends (around 25 in total) and our price went up by £28pp due to the fuel surcharge. I wonder how much of that £28 was actually imposed by Virgin and how much was 'inflated' by the travel company. Nowhere does it say that we can expect as much as £28 rebate on long-haul flights - the most I've seen is £20.
    A cheque this side of Christmas will be very welcome!

    could be a long wait, theres been some objections
    On October 21, 2008, three Objectors appealed the Order and Final Judgment approving the Settlements. The Objectors argue that the District Court should not have exercised subject matter jurisdiction over UK Settlement Class Members whose claims are for travel to destinations other than the United States, and that the Court should not have certified the class. Resolution of this appeal is likely to take at least six months, and could take more than a year (or several years), depending on the speed with which the appeals court decides the issue. ALL PAYMENTS TO ALL CLAIMANTS IN THE UNITED STATES AND THE UNITED KINGDOM WILL BE DELAYED UNTIL THE APPEAL BY THE THREE OBJECTORS IS RESOLVED

    Page 14 and 17 mostly sum it up.

    They're saying that the US court cannot resolve cases involving 'foreigners' buying tickets outside of the US for travel not to\From the US.

    Looks like that £10.00 will be a long time coming :rolleyes:
