    Fair enough :-[
Maybe I'll give them a go then, I had a spot of emissions bother myself not so long ago!
Im slightly curious as to how they work though, not much info on the web site as far as I can tell.

There is another product from QVC which cleans your carbs/injectors, oil and petrol, not sure of the name but they are always banging on about em!

Reduce your tickover, needs to be done when hot engine, but keep an eye on it when cold or it may be too low and stop the car starting properly even with the choke on.

Keep the car in gear longer, in gear engine does lower revs, clutch down/neutral means higer revs and thus more petrol wastage. Watch cars when cold morning, loads of smoke when changing gear can be seen, this is wasted fuel

Drive with 1/2 a tank of fuel, this loss of weight will make a big difference, less right foot to pull away since less weight, better braking too.

If you are making short journeys and dont need the heat, turn the heating dial to cold, the coolant in the engine will stay there keeping it warmer, when you turn up the heat, a valve opens meaning water flows through a second radiator which heats the air that you get. The warmer engine means that stop-start isn't such an issue.

put you engine on for a few seconds to warm up between journeys, ie open door, start engine, seat belt put junk away etc... lets it get warmer.

Windows closed, air con off, no roof racks etc....

Wash and wax - dirt does actually slow down and drag the car more than you would think, creates eddys in wind blowing over.

If your car is ok, reliablity wise, then switch off in traffic/level crossings etc.., indeed you can roll forwards without starting the engine just in neutral since cars are generally front heavy, just start the engine for bigger movements of traffic.

Drive behind trucks on the motorway, not only slower, but if you drive relativly close then wind drag is reduced, not as risky as some people make out, trucks slow down slowly and you are quicker, just keep some wits about you.

mate, i dnt by any chance carry heavy items in the car whilst your driving do you?
such as a sound system, amp, subwoofer? only because this all adds weight to your car and then reflects on the low mileage per tank.

using some petrol treatment sounds about right, but, do not use different petrol treatments too frequently, this can then mess up your motor due to all of the additives and minerals mixing together.

put the treatment into your motor next time u fill up, and when you've put it in, take the car onto the motorway so it helps clean out the fuel lines and injectors better.

u can get all sorts of different treatments from halfords.

wot colour is your exhause smoke?
blue, black, fluffy white? this can indicate whether your fuel is burning properely, and therefore u can pinpoint the problem hopefully.

do you have a performance exhaust installed? or a hole in the exhaust?
