VODAFONE Announce An Option To Bar Shortcodes, But Not For PAYT.
VF proudly announced that the PR sms bar was available as from 1.9.08, sadly it seems from posts on the various forums and my call to VF CS, nobody at VF seems to know anything about it.
What the low key announcement didn't say was that the bar is not available to all customers. It is not available to PAYT customers, the group most at risk. Also some monthly contracts, for some reason, do not qualify. Now I can see why it took so long to set up. To add the software to the whole network, if it was needed, would be a straight forward project. To add it only to a certain section of customers and not allow others would be a little more complicated.
A majority of youngsters use PAYT. Who are the main group that use content such as Chat, Music, Wallpaper and other downloads? Yes the group most at risk to the PRS theives, the kids. It does take a lot to see why they have not included PAYT in the PR sms bar................ PROFIT
