    Thanks :)

ps. whatever it was you received today I'd say you definitely deserved it. Your help and advice on here is lovely and much appreciated :)

  • Aw hunni, thank you ever so much :) Your last comments made me smile and it was just what I needed as I have been short and snappy all day :o :rotfl: i think its hard sometimes when complaining to remember you are in the right, and no to let big companies walk all over you :) I know to Boots I am just a small fish in a sea of many but I am a loyal customer who at the very least deserves a little respect and the right to spend my points within their T&Cs. I don't expect SAs to fall about all over me, just to know their job, and to allow customers the right to purchase whatever they want without embarssing them....you post just proves what I mean about CS, they left me feeling the same way this morning, if I get no joy with my email, I will definitely write ;)

And can I just say a big thank you to Scarlett, for helping me and encouraging me to complain :T

Just typed a long post but it was lost in the ether, so I'll just say I hope you get your points back.

Maybe it's a timely reminder that cats, dogs, and hamsters aren't eligible for advantage cards - something that is actively encouraged in one store I know. It's too tempting for the unsuspecting to join up. I know, because I've been tempted more than once.

As for the T&C's? Just had a look as I've never really bothered much before, but even they can be changed at any time  so there's a real anomaly at work.

    Take care x

Seems to me that the pc police will only catch up with parents who live together .If they have cards at sep addresses the Boots police will not realise they are connected. It seems so unfair to take points away - surely a warning and an unsubscribe is all that is needed?

Aslong as your registered with the health club it will go through automatically. Just check with SA it is activated as there was a bit of a blip a few months ago where it was taken off some cards, but the SA will have a little thing they scan to activate it if you go to the pharmacy counter to pay :)

I have never heard of a mix of Ibuprofen and codeine:confused:

Paracetamol and Codeine(americans add caffeine instead) are analgesic and are used to relieve headaches, dental pain and pain from injury etc

Codeine is added when you need to relief not just mild pain, but moderate pain.

Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAIDs) used to relieve pain and inflammation such as muscular aches and pains, headache, backache, rheumatic pain etc

But you can use paracetamol with added codeine alongside ibuprofen if your in alot of discomfort.

I got lots of bargains today, wasn't planning on going shopping but AA man said I had to give my car a run, so I went to Bromley (not really that far from me, about 4 miles, but my car usually only goes as far as Asda which is 1/2 mile away!)

So... here is what I got.

    Shop 1
Thierry Muglar Eau de Star 50ml Was £49.00 Now £12.25
    Burberry Beat 75ml Was £48.00 Now £12.00
    Versace 30ml Was £32.00 Now £8.00
    My Insolence 30ml Was £29.00 Now £7.25

    Shop 2
Knex Play & Zooming Buddies £5.00
    Thomas Alarm Clock £3.00
LTP Silly Sentence £0.00 (342 offer)
    Play doh Fuzzy Barber £2.50
    Sand Art Scooby Doo £2.50
These were all the reduced prices (I assume they are 75% off? I missed out on another item free as there were no 342 signs up)

Palm Tankini Top Was £12.00 Now £3.00
Palm Bikini Pants Was £10.00Now £2.50

    CK Contradition 100ml Was £56.00 Now £14.00

DKNY Body Lotion 150ml Was £22.00 Now £5.50
Valentino Rock & Rose Was £20.00 Now £5.00

    Shop 3
    2 x Tomy Discovery Stack/Pop/Tumble Was £15.00 Now £3.75
LTP Suzy Shaker car £0.00 (342)

    Shop 4
Burberry Brit Body Wash Was £22.00 Now £11.00
DKNY Be Delicious Shower Gel Was £18.00 Now £4.50
Lacoste Pink Shower Gel Was £16.00 Now £4.00

The perfume should have come to £473 and I paid £115.

Another perfume, which I don't seem to have paid for as it is not on my receipt:confused: is Burberry London 50ml which should have been £37.00 so the total should be £115 paid for £510 worth of perfume. Oh and I also got 2 free gifts, a Stella Marcartney cosmetics bag with body lotion inside and the free brolly that was being given away with SJP perfume:T :T :T

I can't believe everyone is leading me astray :D this is getting addictive. Those 2 magazines I spotted in the Boots window last night when it was closed have been haunting me.
I'm then lying to my boss why I've got to nip out for 1/2hr and then saying I'll work on when I get back, only to find I can't concentrate and I'm back on here listening to all your buys. :naughty:

The local shop is so tiny, can't be more than 12ft square, but I did get the 2 mags (oh you don't want them says the assistant we've got the new ones here) so got 2 old 1 new and managed to buy 2 of the TD lip plumpers for £2 after the till split and she let me use the vouchers as well. So 400 points on a £2 spend. But they have all gone so I can't get any more vouchers:(

I also picked up a 'Buying for baby & you' magazine which I'm sure has been mentioned somewhere in the past but I haven't seen it and since a couple of you are managing to get the Quinny. I thought I'd point out there is a 1800 point voucher in the back, valid until the 31/01/09.
Other vouchers are Save £2 off Huggies newborn or Preemies nappies, Buy 2 save £1 off Plum baby food, Save £1 off MAM soother, 500points Britax Cosy Tot infant carrier, Save 20% off Mini Mode when you spend £20 , £5 off when you buy a Braun Thermoscan and 20% off Vital table wear - all valid until 31/01/09. The mag is free and doesn't say anything about 1 per customer.

Must go. I've work to finish, then tea to sort out and if I can wizz through the ironing I'll catch up again later or maybe the ironing can wait another night

Meant to say I'm really sorry to hear about your cards princesscandyfloss, fingers and toes crossed it works out in the end

I'm not sure how it works tbh elisamoose but I always assumed that both parents would be able to use the PC  After all, a lot of men must pick up much needed odds and ends for their stay at home wives who might have babies? And vice versa for stay at home Dads  Who gets to use the card for instance?

But have to agree with you about the unfairness of it all. Surely it would be easier to give that warning or possibly deduct any points that people aren't strictly entitled to?

I'm baffled by it all, but generally baffled by Boots after reading this and the last thread.
