I went for plain white as we didnt know if it was going to be a boy or girl and I wouldnt of had time to make it after he was born IFYWIM. It made it look like a giant traditional wedding cake in white. They were so pleased with it that they have asked me to make one for one of their friends in December ...they said I should start a business.....don't think I have enough time though.

WOW... i didn't appreciate this the first time i saw it  ...way back in past thread... but, now i understand what it is...nappy wedding cake!!!!:o :o

    OMG...you have a talent. It is stunning...a beautiful gift!!!!:T :T :T

Good evening all, can I just remind you all to be extra cautious when out shopping. I was in the retail park today all ready for a No7/RM splurge as I've been saving my pinkies for this trip. I bent down to fasten lo trainers and put my bag beside me when some absolute gobsh**e has lifted it and had away with everything my phone vouchers keys and my purse which contained precious photos of my kids and my dd medical alert card. I just feel so stupid that I could have been so slack as not to realise. I've had to cancel all my cards. So I hope whoever it was is happy with themselves.

Sorry for the rant I'm just so annoyed
Thank you for reminding us to be extra careful, I must admit I quite often put my bags down by the side of me if I want to pick something up to look at from the shelf, I guess I'm just naive & think that they'll be safe. It's a sad world sometimes & I wish we could catch up with them. I;m sure they wouldn't like it if we did it to say their Mum or Granny.
I;m really sorry to hear this & I hope you manage to get it back

Oh dear SineadG, really sorry to hear this :(. Some people are terrible. I got my purse stolen at an airport 2 years ago, and it still upsets me now, had pictures and lots of little sentimental things in it which would have been no use to anyone else. that bothered me much more than the cards, I'm sure you are the same. thanks for sharing with us anyway.

I'm sure lots of people think they can innocently put their bag down beside them, but obviously somtimes this is not the case

Hope you get all your cards replaced soon at least.

  • ah thanks jax.26 It was really quite funny when we gave it to them as their 2 yr old daughter actually thought it was cake and started screaming "cake" "cake" bless her....she was mortified when told it wasnt real cake. What you can not really see in the pic is there is elephant teddy sat on the top instead of a married couple.
Will not spend more money:naughty:, but will spend more time looking for that great bargain!
  • I use these as well and they are great.
Does anyone know if there is a money saving way of re-filling them though?
I get through loads of the refil packs and they can work out expensive.
By the way this little thing works better than my dehumidifier thingy.

These are great -use them in my boat ! Caution though the crystals are caustic
I would say however that these are aimed at condensation rather than damp.If carpets are wet then it sounds like a more serious problem .Could your landlord arrange a builder/surveyor to have a look?
We are all in the gutter but some of us are looking at the stars........................

    What exactly are they?
We have been looking to get a dehumidifier for the cellar but we are moving soon. We need a bigger place to store my Boots bargains in:rotfl: .
Are they cheaper than a dehumidfier?
