I was there yesterday! I posted what I managed to get!
They did have a few TB bags for £5, only a few though but they had loads of other bags so I'm sure you will find something! Lots of really cheap No7 and bath giftsets!!
:j great stuff, thanks, I thought I had read a list earlier in the thread - and I have just found it - looks good - off I go Chrimbo shopping then:T0 -
Snipped.......
Also bought DS a potty! Brilliant night, he loved the potty, played with it, smiled at it, etc. Took his nappy off, sat him on potty, yes, that's great. Made the wee wee noise. Great, DS got bored, climbed off, sat on the floor and a few minutes later weeweeded. Ok, no problem, clean that up. A few minutes later, try potty again, same as before, sat on it, noise, got bored. Sat on carpet, 10 minutes later, weeweeded! Did this 3 times, before I gave up on idea for the night and put nappy back on.
It is going to be great fun doing this potty training. LOL. DS seems happy with idea of it though, playing with it this morning.
Broclo, or any other mum, when your darling baby was teething, did you find your carpet was soaking wet when you walked on it, or have I got a problem with my rented accommodation? Ok, not soaking wet, but wet enough that when you stood on it, you thought something had been spilt there?
Re: potty training, it seems to be one of those things that changes from one generaton to another but I didn't use a potty when getting my 3 out of nappies. The advice I was given by my HV was to wait until they seemed to have the ability to control their bladder, for example, getting up in the morning with a dry nappy or going for longer periods during the day, then skip the potty and go straight for a toilet step and seat. This might mean keeping them in nappies a little longer but far less messy and more chance of success.
If there's a daddy around to show little boys how to pee standing up then it helps, there's the incentive to be "like daddy", if not there are those toilet training balls that you put in the loo for them to "aim at", Boots sell 'emAlso, the great thing about the toilet is that they get the "sound" when they pee, which is a reward in itself :rotfl:
I did try a potty briefly with my first son but gave up after a few days because of all the accidents, potty sticking to bum when he stood up etc. so went out with him to choose toilet seat, step and big boys pants, made an ocassion of it and never looked back. We just kept the potty in the car boot for travelling emergencie but the babes rarely used it, if at all.0 -

I was quite good yesterday, only spent £18, could have spent way more than that lol! They had lots of sets that would make nice presents! And a whole rack of bags for £5 or less but only a few TB, the stock changes there frequently but there its always good stuff! Just remember you can still get points but you can't use your vouchers there and you won't be given any either!
The best time to go is after the Christmas gifts are taken out from the other stores, they all appear in there for stupid money!!:D0 -
Thanks Geordie_Lass. Daddy does show DS how to be a boy when going to toilet, and he is fascinated by it. Problem we have is DS hates wearing his nappy, he has actually learnt to pull off tags and then crawl out of nappy, if I don't put a vest on. He also scratches himself really badly when we take his nappy off, as if it irritates him, and I have tried all brands.
We thought we would try the potty and see if he takes to it, then he can come out of nappies. I try and leave his nappy off a few times a day and just clean up any mess he makes. If he doesn't, then will carry on using nappies but just wanted him to stop being uncomfortable.
Did you find when your children were teething they dribbled all over your carpet so it felt wet wherever you walked? Trying to work out if DS is dribbling saliva or we have a problem with damp in carpets.0 -

Hello All,
I'm a long time long time lurker, and I have to say 'much respect' to all you who manage to get such great results with you spits and pinkies. Wow Classy chick 06! I always seem to go to Boots just after all the shelves have been emptied of all the best deals
Anyway, I can't get out next week and I have 3 spits and 4 pinkies burning a hole in my pocket, so if anyone thinks they can make really good use of them please pm me and your welcome to them. Please only ask if your're sure you can get the full use out of them, I would hate to see them wasted. If I post them tonight with a fair wind and a lot of luck you should get them by Tue, just before they run out.
I promise that come the next glitch 'Iwill try harder, I will try harder'
Sorry, these have gone now!0 -
