hiya. i'm a newby on this site and i've been looking through this thread for the last few weeks. I just want to say what a wonderful group of people you all are to let everyone know what bargains and great deals you all get at boots! :T Thanks to you lot i've managed to get loads of bits for xmas presents - gonna be doing hampers this year!!!:D i must admit that before i saw this thread i did most of my cosmetics etc shopping in the-shop-that-cant-be-named lol. as to mere mortals like me it appeared to be cheaper. How wrong was I! now I'm completely addicted to bootsing! so thanks everyone!!!:A

    Hiya :)

If you're doing hampers there's a great thread on here that might help you too

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=309335&page=185

That link leads to the last page as any offers/ideas will be more recent than the first page (if you know what I mean lol)

  • Have finally caught up with all the nattering since 4pm yesterday :D

First of all, thank you broclo for sorting out the Mitchums, much appreciated. I'm sure I can wedge a few more roll ons into the bathroom cabinet...(Mr BTVB is now rolling his eyes at me...)

Secondly, I am mortified that I did not know that jtb2412 was after the TB vanity case :o   They had a handful in Cambridge Retail Park a week ago but when I went back they'd all gone :(

Thirdly, Cambridge Retail Park is now out of pinkies (I know some of you have benefited from using the No7 pinky+No7 till spit, but I don't understand why some stores issue pinkies and some issue till spits...or why the stores that run out of pinkies don't then switch to till spits )

So, Mrs BTVB's (slightly stressful) shop last night:

    Shop 1:

Sun Moon and Stars 30ml £5.50 (no idea what the original price was...think I've seen it for over £20 before)

    Total to pay = £5.50

    20pts gained

    1 No7 pinky + 1 skincare till spit earnt

    Shop 2:

    Essentials Cucumber wipes £0.99
    No7 Liplicious in Caramel £9.25
    TD toner £4.49

Handed over pinky + skincare till spit + 100pts on Liplicious + 200pts TD

    Total to pay = £5.24

    300pts earnt

1 pinky (last one, sorry :o) + 1 skincare till spit earnt

    Shop 3:

This one I am a bit annoyed about

    Boots toothpaste £0.99
    Boots toothpaste £0.99
    Boots toothpaste £0.00 (342)
No17 eyeshadow priced on shelf at £3.49...
    No17 eye dazzle (free...)
    TD cleanser £4.49

Brand new eyeshadow design in shops this week came up at £2.99 despite SEL which meant eye dazzle did not originally work...SA did kindly override the eye dazzle but this meant I couldn't use the 100pts WYS £5 on No17.

Plus after handing over skincare spit total to pay ended up being £4.97...just 3p short of the magic number for till spits...AND I forgot to hand over the flipping 50pts voucher on toothpaste :D At least I remembered the TD pts voucher :D

So total to pay = £4.97

    216 pts earnt

    Shop 4:

    No17 lipstick £3.79
    No17 eye dazzle £0.00
    Essentials Cucumber wipes £0.99
    Essentials Cucumber wipes £0.99

    Total to pay = £5.57

Didn't bother even attempting 100pts on No17 at this point so just 20pts earnt

    1 skincare till spit earnt

    Shop 5:

    TD facial exfoliator £4.49

Handed over till spit and 200pts TD

    Total to pay = £0.00

    200pts earnt

So total for the whole trip:

    Money spent = £21.28
Money saved = £31.34 - this doesn't include the savings on the Sun Moon and Stars - I can't find this on Boots.com and I forgot to check the original price in store)
    Points earnt = 756pts

Then we fled to Sainsburys!!! :rotfl:

moneysavingmumofone...no luck on the Doctor Who figures I'm afraid, sorry :(

Just nipping on as I will be out all day.
If anyone wants a brown suedette baby changing bag that was in the reduced markdowns recently post your interest.

The bag was reduced from £25 to £5
    Postage is £2.51 1st class or £2.08 for 2nd

I managed to get 2 but I definitely have 1 spare, quite possibly 2 if the other member shows no interest. There is a pic on the thread somewhere but I've no time to search.

Also if anyone wants a pram/buggy & finds it in my local stores I am happy to collect & post on your behalf. Call the stores in Gloucester or Cheltenham to check availability/prices & hopefully reserve & we can go from there.

    Have a nice day.

Awwww Buffy, don't worry about the TB bag - I only mentioned it last night on here. I have been searching the holy grail for a couple of weeks now and have had various family on the lookout too but seeing as I've not managed to find one I thought I might come on here and do a bit of begging :o ! I have had a PM about one though but not had time to reply - which I will do later !!!! :D

Re: your PM Buffy, i'll forward those things on later this PM if that's ok? Got to dash in a minute so typing as fast as my fingers will allow !

Catch up later ladies - don't chat too much !!!! :D

    Morning peeps! :(

I'm gutted - I've lost all my skincare tillspits! Some of them were massive so remember carefully folding them up and putting them into a boots magazine to keep them flat - only my OH threw it out 2 days ago!!

Arggggggh!! I'm soooo sad this morning! Pathetic I know but I was really looking forward to getting my TD stuff and had saved myself some TD coupons too so I could have got lots of points today! :(
"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being".
"Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that".
"True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".
