    [snipped ...

Oh no! All these fantastic perfume bargains you've been getting are really doing my head in. I texted a friend this morning to suggest she goes out at lunchtime from work to see what she can find. It's absolutely P-ing down here. If she gets to Boots and there is a) nothing left or b) (perhaps even worse) it's all gone back up to full price, she'll kill me.......

Clare, I'm not sure what's going on with these perfume prices - just lately they've been up and down more often than a bride's nightie :D

When they had the reductions a couple of weeks ago (when I walked staright by them  ) I was told it was a big mistake and Head Office had instructed the perfume girls to put the prices back up. So when I went into the same store a couple of days ago and they were back down in price, I asked if it was another mistake and was told it wasn't  and that they were genuine price reductions.

In the second store that I bought perfume from, the SA said they were selling it off to make room for the Christmas stock and also said there wasn't an error in the prices

Both SA's have worked for Boots for a while, so I don't think they were confused or anything. So my advice is to come out of hiding ;) and see if you can still spot any :)

  • Went to Fargate, Sheffield in my lunch hour - could not believe they had 2 LS serums, promptly put in my basket along with my mitchums and TD wipes....

but when i came to pay, SA wouldn't let me use the voucher due to them already being on offer - so left them (and just got that feeling they may have all been told about the glitch and not to take them). I was a little saddened, but just got to put it down to experience.....

    another day, another SA.......

OMG I have had the most wonderful shop this morning (well more than one shop)

Went into Newbury High Street to see if there were any baby reductions and there were two rails of swimming stuff with a hand written sign with prices on of between £1.50 and £3. Yay thought I, I'll get my 3 DD's some new cossies. The SA who was putting it all out still said - there's 75% off those prices as well

    So I got :

    3 x Speedo cossies (75p each)
    3 Tankini tops (75p each)
    Spotty swimming cossie (75p)
    6 x Bikini pants (37p each)
    3 x Bikini bottoms (37p each)

    Also got :

Bushbaby cocoon £10 (49.99 on .com)
    Pink changing bag £5
    Black changing bag £5
    Baby toy £1.60
    Cot protector £4.38

    Total price £34.56 (used points)

The SA upstairs said that a lot more of the toys, etc were going on sale today/tomorrow - she just hadn't had time to price them all up.

Christmas stuff is being put out upstairs.

I added up the value of the cossies when I got home and they came to £316

Went and put these in the car and wandered round town for a bit and Boots lured me back in again :o .

Bought another cossie for 75p, a canvas duffle bag for 50p, Remington Diamond shaver for £13.20 (said £19.81 on the sticker and is £59.49 on .com) and a step counter for £2.21 (9.99 on .com). Used points again. I had heard another customer saying that she had been charged £5.xx for another razor/electrical thing when it was marked as £8.xx

Also decided to get rid of the last 4 skin spits. Got 4 x sanctuary masks and paid 40p (they have reduced them to £1.35), 2 x TD wipes and a TD scrub thing. THe SA got herself into a right mess and forgot to put the points through on one of the wipes. I asked her if she would and so she told me to go and get another set of wipes and she would scan them with a spit from the drawer and add the points on cos she couldn't add them on manually. So I got another lot of wipes extra :).

There were still loads of cossies left at lunchtime, and the great thing is that they actually make proper bikini's rather than just having a top here and a bottom there in different sizes.
  • Indeed...never mind that I've got a brand new Dreamlash mascara plus a brand new Bourjois one in my "pending stash" (as in my makeup reserve, not the stuff currently in use :o:o:o ) I still want this new one!

Right, off to print some Mitchum vouchers now :D

Pmsl :rotfl: am SO pleased to hear of someone else with a "pending" make-up stash.

Can I ask what a "brag book" photo album is please? I'm guessing I should know what one is but I don't...

I'm not quite sure what the "brag book" bit is all about myself but that's what it says on the label :rotfl:  I've looked on .com for a picture but it's not on there. Worth looking out for I think, will make nice presents :) They weren't in the clearance, just on the normal shelves with the reduced SEL below them :)
