It was mrsw, but a few months back.

I won't say too much as I know that Boots read these threads (and my posts) and I wouldn't want anyone to be in trouble over it. But the gist of it was that staff were promoting advantage cards and seemed to be in competition to sign up as many people as possible. Hamsters and cats weren't specifically mentioned as such but the consensus (then) between some members of staff was that the more people (or dogs) that enrolled the better for Boots. It was like a competition to see who could sign up as many new members as possible and the reward for who signed up for the most? A product that was worth approximately £2 to them.

Won't say anymore as I've said enough but I didn't succumb because I'm an :A although I did take an application form or two as free gwps were being given away - legitimately.

Off for today as I'm devoting the rest of the day to BB (that's not Boots Bargains, it's Big Brother - how sad lol) but will hang around for a while to thank a few users when the adverts come on

I find a lot of the reductions now are on the normal shelves so you have to keep a beady eye on them as you walk down the aisles

The only store I know of that has got rid of the reduced shelve recently is sauchiehall street in glasgow, and its a shame because it was one of the better ones too.

I just had a look out of curiosity, I added the mirror to my basket and it's applied a 10% discount for me too
I've phoned CS and asked them about it, they've checked my details and have the correct DOB (under 60) The guy on the phone agreed it was weird but said that it's showing as a Health Club discount and although he doesn't know what it's about said that if it's showing a discount then accept it. So there we go, I'm still no wiser but it seems it's all above board Maybe it's a glitch with the new site

Has anyone else heard that the No7 pinkys stop being given out today? I keep debating whether to go out with my cold -- I'm about a mile from Boots and it's supposed to rain -- heavy rain. But if it's the final day, I'm so tempted to go out even though surely I don't *need* anymore. I just hate the thought of buying things this weekend that would've gotten me a pinky if only I'd bought them today. <sigh>

I feel exactly the same! But then I suppose if we do go out we can't catch a cold can we?? :rotfl:
