I'm surprised they are not yet! But surely they atleast have a concealer/lipgloss/mini hairbrush etc they carry? Nice size for the basics0 -

I have a few pinkies to spend at the weekend and have already stocked up on my make up. So i have decided to buy Xmas/birthday pressies for DD to give to her friends. Do you think the R&M cream make bag would be ok for 16yr old girls (they are not into make up yet). Also thought about the R&M mirror compact (think its the red one altho I havent spotted any yet)
Has anyone seen any of the cream bags and the mirrors in the NE? I can get to Newcastle, Metro Centre or Team Valley at the weekend.
Also wanted to thank everyone on this thread - its great
They are a good size for any little bits, like hair bands etc. I wouldn't think it will be long until they are into make up though!

I had a bit of a scary moment in store today......
After all the talk on this thread about cards being impounded (I've used the TD extra points about 5 times!), I decided to go in & spend the last of my vouchers, & cash in my points on phone top-up vouchers. First transaction, phone vouchers: SA said no problem, you can buy these with points OK, started to put it through for £30 of vouchers, & then the till froze - she said a big black cross came up! Well, you can imagine, my heart stopped, I thought ooh noo, they are going to arrest me......So she called over another SA, logged onto another till, & all worked fine [I start breathing again].
so then in a fit of relief I did the following 3 shops:
Shop 1
R&M cosmetic sponges (4.99, free with pinkie)
TD gradual tan moisturiser (5.50, used till spit & 200 point voucher)
Total 50p, 200 points
Shop 2
TS long hair thermal wrap 5.99
TS moulding mud 4.99
2 original source shower gels 99p each (on offer, these are the ones in the funky pouches & they look lovely)
used magazine TS voucher
Total 2.99
I thought I could go home then, but oh no, till spat out another skin voucher and a pinkie.....well it would have been rude not to use them, wouldn't it!
Shop 3
R&M cosmetic sponges 4.99 (free with pinkie)
TD exfoliater 4.49 (free with till spit)
TS long hair thermal wrap 5.99
TS goop 4.99
original source shower gel 99p
used magazine TS voucher (I didn't have the nerve to use the last TD 200pts voucher!)
Total 2.00
With the extra points from shop 1 I now had enough for another £10 top up voucher, so got one of those, leaving 30 points on my card.
So that is it, I am going cold turkey & not going into Boots ever again! (well, at least until the next brilliant offer is on!)
Thanks to all the kind folk on this thread for sharing their finds with me, I've enjoyed this so much.
PS. If anyone would like a 200pts on TD voucher, or any photo print vouchers (1.50 free photos, I have a few), both valid until 9/9, let me know & I'll post 1st class today.0 -
Afternoon all
Another excellent morning's shopping for me (somebody stop me for god's sake lol!), will post lists in a bit but just had to tell you - the lovely SA on the perfume counter told me this morning that Head Office had made a HUGE mistake in all the perfume reductions...... it never should have happened at all. There were just a few reduced left this morning, which I grabbed (of course), but they're all going back to full price today. Bless her too, it was her day off yesterday and she's done the perfume dept. for 12 years she was telling me and missed all the bargains
Most toys back up to full price today too.... so that was another short lived one! Managed to grab a few more reduced bits, but hardly anything left.
No mags at all in store  and I'd planned my whole shop around them  so had to very quickly re-plan the lot :rotfl:
Oh, and another lovely SA told me that they'll be issued pinkie and TSs until the day the expire. Ooooh, (I know this has already been mentioned, but in case anyone missed it) she was telling me about the new No7 mascara which is launched next Wednesday (10th) which the pinkie will work on and according to her, the GWP is gorgeous - an eyeshadow pallet with 4 good size individal colours, one of them being a charcoal grey (she couldn't remember the other colours!).
<looks up> god, I do waffle don't I?Going for lunch now and will then post this morning's lists
You can't control everything in life....... your hair was put on your head to remind you of that

Just been to Fort Birmingham again they were unpacking loads of boxes of the old No7 GWP pink box things £3 each got 4 (seperate transactions with TD of course) they would not let me use No7 ts with these. They were flying of the shelves. Also grabbed loads more reduced perfume, sa said all the perfumes are going back up now so would have to pay full price I asked her to check till as I would buy them straight away, got them at reduced price Yippee!!!
They also had sanctuary wipes £3.95 i think but no mag`s0 -

Don't worry...bet she knows alot more 12 years down the line than you did the first night you took DS home eh
Aahhh is not 'poor you'...If I was surrounded by family I would not let him go anyway:rotfl:
I have had 3 'slightly disturbed' sleeps in 17 months, other than which he needs dragging out of his cot after 12 hrs...really can not complain! Last time I went to cyprus I let him 'lie in' morning we flew so I could be organised...16 hrs and still had to drag him out of the cot
Wee man is bouncing off the walls today as if nothing ever happened, typically 24 hr bug(well 48 lol) finishes and rain starts!
Sounds like you have a little :A there Broclo! Glad to hear he's better now.
My little man is an absolute dream, he makes me want 10 more just like him, and I would never let him stay away! DD on the other hand is an complete minx! Nearly 3 going on 16! I'd love for someone to have her for a week :rotfl: Only kidding!
To keep it on topic I have got virtually all their xmas/birthday pressies 75% off so thanks Mr B :T3 children under 5 means not enough comping and crafting time
August wins: Krisprolls tin :rotfl:
September wins: £100 H&M gift card0 -
