Mobile Broadband and The Internet Security for it.

Daughter may have to have mobile broadband as there is no bt line connected in the rented property she is moving to (still checking if there might be the £125 charge)
Present tennants use orange mobile as T Mobile didnt work there. This only has a 1.8mb speed and 3gb usage so just a bit concerned that it might not be enough as we have always been unlimited. The tennants did say that its not as fast as normal broadband so I don't think it reaches the 1.8mb max.
There doesnt seem to be much info on security for this kind of broadband though. We are used to using WPA router settings and I know my daughter will want at least the same or better than. If they do have to have the mobile broadband how safe can they make the connection compared to WPA and how would they do it?
I think they will consider orange first seeing as the present tennant is using it although a higher usage and speed would be preferred really.
