Hi
Just rang Tiscali and they have offered 1meg U/L usage and U/L downloads PLUS Unlimited usage of the Home Phone 24/7 for £19.99.
Whereas, BT are offering 2meg with 2GB usage and unlimited Home Phone Calls 24/7 for £24.99. Can anyone please comment about the service levels of each of them. Will it be wise to sign up with Tiscali and save £5.......
Hope this will benefit all the existing and new users too
Cheers....SAM

Its a shame that you cant get Telewest Broadband..
Anyway it will have to be BT I mean they are the best out of a bad bunch
as Tiscali customer support doesnt exist..

If you're not an intensive user, you might also compare a Pipex product - 2MB/s, 1GB cap, 500 minutes free phone calls via cps, for £14.99, 2 months free. They also have a product with a 30GB cap that their existing customers are going for, described on a recent thread. 500 minutes will be enough for many people, but you could still use 1899 or similar for the odd long call.0

Wanadoo are offering Up to 8MB Broadband (depending on where you live), with a 2GB download limit, with a free broadband modem, for £14.99 a month for first 6 months then £17.99 a month afterwards. I have never had a problem with Wanadoo - used on a number of occasions.
Their software is easy to setup and install, and if you can't get the 8MB speed, they will drop you to the highest speed your telephone line will accept.

There are other packages as well with higher download limits.0 -
Mr Skint, I am probably wrong in saying this, but when I posted a post with the Broadband Checker link (that you have in your post), I was told by another forum user that it wasn't a good site to use for some reason, and ADSL Guide http://www.adslguide.org.uk/ should be used instead. Not sure which one to use now...Mr_Skint wrote:Its a shame that you cant get Telewest Broadband..

I would rather eat my own arms than use Tiscali again, 6 months after cancelling they are still charging me despite numerous calls (0870 of course....), emails and letters they are now threatening me with bailiffs. Scum of the earth.0
