I use my bus pass on the Cambridge park and ride but you have to use it after 9.30am. Dont know if this is the same every where.
The Norfolk coast hopper (the bus from Hunstanton to Sheringham) is free with a bus pass. (£5 normally I think) and you can get on and off as many time as you like. A great day out.0 -
You can use them in Bristol and Cheltenham but not in Bath!0

We have Ring and Ride here in Manchester/Oldham. I contacted them this week to see if they would take a party of about 18 over 60s to a lunch I am arranging for our Keep Fit class. They said fine but it will be £2 for members and £4 for non members and all must have a bus pass. They will provide two buses. We are goingto a catering college restaurant (they are great) and it is quite a distance away so it is really good value.0 -
I can use mine on the buses in Maidsone and it doesn't cost anything at all. I think they are a great idea as the roads through Maidstone are quite narrow and get very congested. I have also used mine on the Canterbury P&R but its so difficult to fine a place to park there that sometimes its easier to just park up on the outskirts of town and hop on a bus anyway. Canterbury P&R gets filled up very quickly, also the P&R is almost 3 miles further on than the town itself from where I am coming from in Rainham.0

In Canterbury my Bus Pass was accepted on a P & R bus, although I had paid to park. Next time though I shall park in the retail car parks in Wincheap and save £2.50!
Of interest this is a FAQ from the Kent County Council's travel site -
"Can I use my bus pass on Park and Ride?
Yes, you can use your bus pass to travel on both the Maidstone & Canterbury Park and Ride services. At Canterbury, you will have to pay for your parking separately."
I have also used my Bus Pass on the Maidstone P & R.::money:0 -
I think everything has changed with regard to bus passes and P&R since this ancient thread, which you have for some reason resurrected from the grave, was last updated.0
