Should I wait it out or just move?

Heya

Just a quick question about the end of my contract which is due up on the 3rd of Oct. I have been speaking with orange the last couple of days regarding any upgrade offers they had.

The lady I spoken too first gave me a brilliant deal which I thought about and phoned O2 to see if they could match. When I phoned back they had no record of my call or the deal that was offered. The nearest offer was appauling so after a few calls they advised me a manager would ring back. Nothing happened so I phoned back again and was promised that another one would call back...again nothing happened.

I asked the lady I phoned today if they had any record of me phoning up a number of times over the past few days and they mentioned only one call had been recorded as an enquiry. She then decided to give me another shocking offer which no one in thier right mind would think about. I was kept being told that I was still in contract with them till oct 3rd and nothing better could be done. The whole experience just feels like they still have me locked down and couldn't give a damn.

I have a month left from tomorrow but in half a mind to get my PAC requested and move to O2. If you were in this position would you grab the PAC and run or wait till the end of contract and see if they "bend over backwards" so to speak to give me a deal?

thanks!

Give it a month at least- keep trying to get them to commit to the deal that they have given you before. If they do offer you a really good deal then get them to email it to you so have a record of the conservation.

IMHO you could be better off asking for the PAC and holding on to it for most of its one-month validity; then if they don't come up with a good offer you can just use the PAC and go :) If you show serious intent to leave then it might improve your chances of getting a good deal.
