Thank you for your email about earning cashback.

On checking your account we note that the company has sent a letter to you on 01 September 2008, to advise that your account does not earn cashback. Please allow 7 days to receive the letter.

We apologise for any disappointment this may cause.

    Kind Regards

Why does my account not earn cash back, all previous communication with littlewoods have stated that I am entitled to cashback.

i have spoken to littlewoods and was told the same horse76 and also that if you became a customer after 2006 cashback was not avaliable to you and that if you were in arrears then when the account was back in credit then you need to contact them to have a new aggrement sent out to you to reinstante the cashback offer! hope this helps.

The only time I have been in arrears with littlewoods is in the beginning when they didn't take the DD in this case I called them and asked why and then paid it over the phone at the time, within days of missed payment! In all honesty I have been a near perfect customer and have probably spent and paid off £3k+ and am pretty sure I have had my account before 2006. Maybe £3k in 2ish years isn't enough, should I max out my account everytime the up my limit??? I have paid the damn thing off twice!!!

It was just reading this thread that made me wonder about it
as I had just presumed like other people, that it applied to everyone :confused::confused:

Thank you for your e-mail about the cashback.

I am sorry, but cashback is no longer available on the account.

    Kind Regards

i have had this account for 7 years and have always paid on time ,never missed a payment. It would have been nice if they at least told me that it was being stopped.

  • I have recieved a letter from littlewoods today and am getting more and more frustrated with them, the head of customer services has written to me with a load of bull!!

'we have looked into this issue and have found that you did apply for an account in June 06 and were accepted but you did not place your first order until July 07 and so the account wasn't active.'

This is completely wrong, I had finally paid off my account in July 07 and I know for a fact that I had put at least 2 christmas' on littlewoods by July.

I did move house in July 07, do you think this could be where the mistake has been made?

I have looked online and can't seem to find proof of my account usage before sept 07, does any one know how I can find proof?

And if I was not a customer can I claim all of my payments back??? lol

document.gif How do I earn cashback?
You earn cashback simply for making payments to your account.

After the first £150 is received, 'Cashback' is earned on further payments of £20 or more. At this point, you are ready to claim 'Cashback': This may be taken in goods at the rate of 12.5%. 'Cashback' used as a payment to your account, or taken in cash, is paid at the rate of 10%. Cashback is not earned on the following:

    - The first £150 of payments.
    - On payments under £20.
    - Certain reduced or specially priced items sold by Littlewoods Home Shopping Ltd.
    - Products arranged by Littlewoods Finance Company Ltd, such as premiums on insurance and extended service plans. However if the payments had started before the 1st May 2004 on a Littlewoods Finance Company Ltd product cashback will still be paid on this, but any subsequent renewals or extensions will not earn cashback.
    - Delivery charges and payments made on your behalf if you claim against an Extracare Policy.
    - Cashback payments, administration charges, or payments under £20.00

This is on their website, I have never had cash back and have been a customer for over 3 years now. I emailed them this morning to ask why I have never had any.
  • im a littlewoods customer, ive always got cashback, except when ive ordered sale items
when we first moved in our house a catalouge used to come from littlewoods direct, exact same as littlewoods but lower prices, like when you take the commission off the price roughly 10% cheaper, same everything but you dont earn commission on that account, could this be why?:confused:

i have not used my account in ages but on wednesday i placed an order and realised i had 15.99 cashback accrued so i used it on the order i placed. I was hoping to get more as i paid this off. O well at least i went through quidco as long as they honour one of the 2.

just looked on quidco see if its tracked it has

i purchased something for £70 used the £5 off code that was on site next to the item i was buying. so £65 that took off the 15.99 = £49.01

vat 17.5 % off that comes to £41.71 so my 8% quidco cash back comes to £3.34. They will not count the full price ,of the discount price or the using your cash back price. I think using the cash back price in calculations is a bit unfair.

I had a problem earlier in the year and they told me after i received my next order i could ring the retention department and get a unspecified discount a a valued customer. valid for a year i was told. Shall we take bets on if they will honour this or not...... i bet that i already had a £5 off comes into play.
