Self employed ex who doesn't want to pay - any point getting the CSA involved?

Oooh sounds like an right immature t0sser eh?!! unfortunately, it looks like the CSA will be able to get nothing out of him. Mind you, the new rules state that even if someone is on benefits they have to pay £5.00 (£7.00 from next month) per week so if someone getting £60 odd a week has to then he should. Tell her to put a claim in - nothing to lose and at the very least it will make life unpleasant for a while having to get pay slips etc.;)

When I told my Dad I was pregnant he turned round to me and said incredulously 'but you can't even look after a plant pot properly!!!!'. Now this statement was, and still is ,true!!! But I have managed to bring up my wee one totally on my own. Was pregnant on my own, gave birth on my own and it's just been me and her since day 1. Your friend will be fine :) at the end of the day you soon realise then when you are a single parent, there is no one to rely on so you just get on with it :) She'll be a great Mum I'm sure - and you a great 'Auntie'!!!:j

    Oooohh.....can i join too!!!!

Of course - now how do we go about it?

Seriously, it would be quite interesting to have a sticky or something for those 'victims' of self-employed NRP's who are abusing the system !

We would have to have a long name for it though so it could be put into a suitable acronym.......

    All suggestions welcome ;)

Will start a sticky later on specifically for self employed NRP's and get Kellogs to join us too -after all she is the one who took them all on and won!!

Do you think there's any chance of him knowing the new rules regarding I/S and CSA? As from now, any new claims do not need to go through CSA and from next month all existing claimaints can 'opt out'

I just wouldn't want you to say that and have him sneer at you and then your poor son would suffer :(

Yes, I had thought about that. His girlfriend has probably claimed benefits so may well know about the changes.

They couldn't prove that I hadn't been told misinformation by income support staff who didn't know the new rules though.

My son was in tears last night about feeling that his Dad doesn't love him and I got him to phone him to explain to his Dad and not just to me. My ex told me that he has a "right to be happy" - obviously at our son's and her childrens expense.
