All,
This is my first post so please be gentle...
My setup before I tried sorting it all out last night which now doesnt work....:-(
Cable out the ground into a 2 way splitter, one end goes in to a ********* box the other continous to the attic where another splitter is on which goes to the study for the cable broadband. This system has worked for ages and I had no problems. However I wanted to put another ********* box in the bedroom so I have added the following....
I put another splitter which I brought from maplin, F type splitter, and fitted it after the second splitter in the attic. So I now have 3 splitters. The third one goes to cable broadband in the study and now the other to the main bedroom for the arnet box. However when I turn on the cable box the internet crashes and the arnet box doesnt work. PLEASE HELP!!! i have seen another splitter on Maplin for £9.99 which is a satellite splitter but i am now totally confused. Perhaps I shouldnt off put the 3rd splitter in?? I wasnt going to use the 2nd one but one off the outlet which was blanked off said FM hence why i put the 3rd one in!!!
Any advice will be really helpful. I dont want to spend another night in the attic!!! :-)
Cheers
Paul
