:money: had some good advice so i thought out of respect i would reply, i dont know what i would have done had it gone all the way and had to pay it back, suppose it is a a big plus on the side of Abbey really. Maybe being harsh about cards, not really had much probs before, but!!!! was a big credit card surfer when rates were 0% and moved around like no one but since the balance transfer fee came in dont do it but have left a few cards open and used only now and then.
Used Abbey abroad cos of their no fee offer on foreign transactions.
Still at least i got my money (well it was not mine really) back.
  • Hello, I am so sorry that this has happened to you - it has also happened to me - I bank with Lloyds TSB and it was them who asked me had i used my card at a specific place and i had -at this stage it was thought that the purchases were all mine until i told them that i had only used the car once at one particular place and they were excellent, got me to check my statement and there were loads of usage that wasn't mine. yet i'd had my card with me the whole time - it had been cloaned.

TSB refunded me all of the money and i didn't even have to prove which payments weren't mine.

Not sure if all banks will work the same BUT they are usually pretty good at knowing what is what - i'd have never spotted that my card was being used by someone else, and i have no idea how the bank knew either for that matter because they were all very small amounts - under £100 - being taken.

Glad you got all of your money back!!

The person who stole my card details was caught.
  • [FONT=&quot]Yes, it is very true that credit cards are used unlawfully by most of the people. They just want to get it from bank as soon as possible but they don't care about the payment which they have to pay to the bank.
