Well...............thank you to you all for bringing this to my attention!
I called Sky to say that i was thinking about cutting costs by cancelling Sky altogether as i received a leaflet from Virgin offering a very good deal for T.V, phone and broadband and straight away he was very helpful.
I am now still with Sky ha ha.......... This is what he offered me:
Free line rental for 12 months which saves me £120 over the year,
Free Sky box and free installation for Multi Room to have an extra box in the bedroom which costs £10 a month but he has given it to me Half price at £5 for 12 months and has credited my account with £30 so i am only actually paying for 6 months.
Therefore overall i have saved £90 for the year, havent had to go into another 12 month contract and am getting all my channels in an extra room as well!!!
:T
I am so proud of myself ha ha and also an added bonus is that i went through to Sky talk after speaking to cancellations and explained it to him and that i would like to have sky talk anytime and he has given it to me free for 3 months :T :T
Great aye, i would definately suggest anyone calling them to save a bit of money
Good luckJust under £20,000 in debt and struggling!!0 -
I can honestly say I don't miss it all. I used to have it to watch series like 24, now I get them as DVD sets for my birthday or Christmas and don't have to put up with the annoying advert breaks!
I watch very little television these days, I spend a good part of each evening reading the threads on here

You don't need sky, it is nice to have but not worth stressing about making ends meet to have. We got rid of ours years ago and don't miss it. Well done.Barclaycard 3800

You don't have to wait until the end of the contract to reduce the package, only to cancel, and then they give you 40 questions.
Dump Sky altogether if you can, your life will be the better for not having it."Wisdom doesn't automatically come with old age. Nothing does, except wrinkles. It's true, some wines improve with age. But only if the grapes were good in the first place." — Abigail Van Buren0 -
We had the full package right from the beginning and I didn't really know how much it was, we had football etc and paid for the channels all through the summer. We decided to ditch it as it was a waste of money for the number of times there was something worth watching. We haven't had it for about 4 years, got a digital TV 2 years ago and Freeview is not that good but at least it's free to watch.0
