please please please however broke you are or desperate to sell your car, do not touch these people with a very long bargepole. This company are con artists. they give you price over the net, then when you arrive at their garage they make things up about your car (told my sis she'd had all sides resprayed, must have been in a major accident, my sis has had car from new, her insurance will tell theres been no accidents or resprays) they said they would give her £1255 for car over the net, when she arrived they made her wait two hours then made up a load of nonsense including above, then said her car only worth £900. They are part of CAR CRAFT so please be careful with these people

You need to be very wary of these people. They almost halved their offer for an R reg car for silly things like minor scuffs on the paintwork. What did they expect on an R reg?! The paintwork is actually very good and they were being incrediby picky. Luckily their office was very near my home so I hadn't spent lots of time and petrol on a wasted journey. I walked away and was offered much more sensible price at trading in. Still not as much as I could have got privately, but easier to do it this way.0

If you read their T&Cs, they never guarantee that will offer in reality what they offered on the internet. If fact, they may not even want the car. They are a complete last resort.
However, they did give me a fair price for a bashed up car which my insurer had already paid out for.If you found my comment helpful, please click the 'Thanks' button below :T0 -
I can back-up the earlier comments. My nephew contacted them about his car about a year ago. He gave them full details over the phone(including the colour) and they gave him a price. When he arrived at Carcraft they reduced their offer by over a third, stating that there was liitle demand for his car in black. He pointed out that he'd given them the colour over the phone before they made their fist offer. They didn't budge & so he drove away. They presumably work on the basis that they give a slightly inflated offer to entice you in and that, once you've made the effort to visit them, they drop the offer in the hope that you're desperate. Fortunately my nephew only lived 6 miles away from their site and wasn't desperate. He ended up selling it in Auto Trader and got more than their original offer.
With cowboys like this the motor trade will always struggle to shake off its shadey image.0 -
I know plenty of stories about Carcraft/Concept/Carland. The salespeople are treated like crap by the management and this attitude rubs off on how they treat the public. Staff being forced to work their days off because they didn't hit their weekly targets, sales staff being screamed at for not making daily sales or refused permission for lunch. The man without a signature.0

They were fine by me for my "R" reg heap.
Offered me 810 online and we settled on 750.
Both parties extremely happy.0 -
Our S reg heap was quoted £425, achieved £300. Best bit is we were going to sell it for scrap (about £200 max?) but they didn't test drive it, so never found out how terrible it was, reluctant to start, no handbrake etc. As long as you can drive your bit of scrap in and leave it locked while they inspect it you're quids in! If they have a problem with it being such a failure, as a private seller to webuyanycar I'll just have to say "sorry, it was sold as seen".:heart2: Give blood. :female: Use a mooncup.
But ensure the two are not connected!0 -
where do they get rid of these heaps they must end up buying0

Was offered £1200 for my '99 Golf TDi with SE spec and in good condition, laughed at the online price let alone getting them to actually buy it. Sold it for £2900. Just shows what a rip off the offer was, let alone trying to barter down on that price!?:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. To me, it only works for cars worth <1K, as in my case.
Anyone who has a semi-decent car is wasting their time with them.0 -

I think they pass them off, on hugely expensive finance, to desperate people who can't get credit anywhere else.0
