No in my opinion.
Most student accounts will have in their terms and conditions that they are for Honours degree courses of at least 3 years. There may be some exceptions eg nursing but I have never come across an apprenticeship student account.0 -
Natwest student account says your course must be for 2 years or more.Kavanne
Nuns! Nuns! Reverse!

You're going to college and not university, therefore you do not qualify for a student account. Student accounts are for people who are participating in a course at university, not college students.0

Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0 -
Unfortunately the UK banks only serve the "yuppie" boys and girls who spend mummy and daddies money for them and tend not to work or pay anything in to the British economy until they leave uni and find a job, you guy's who I have the greatest amount of respect for going out to work for a crappy wage and pay stamp then tax when you hit 18, work your backside off for 4 years then eventually come out with a qualification at the end along with 4 years of work experience to back it up...unlike our "academic" peers who wave their degree around yet cannot produce a practical example of what they have studied, such a shame that the government and banks do not look after both parties isn't it. Good luck with the apprentiship anyway and hope you get yourself a decent bank account sorted, may I recommend Halifax Bank of Scotland or Alliance and Leicester.

I know a guy who is in the royal engineers and him and the lads worked out their hourly rate....£2.54
True, but then I was away for a weekends drinking with some military people and, using the same calculation, their hourly rate became infinite as they were getting a daily rate and not working at all.0 -
You sound like a typical person who failed University and is now taking it out on people who decide to further their knowledge and education and actually want to learn instead of simply getting an apprenticeship which pays money.
You know any Tom, !!!!!! and Harry can go out and get an apprenticeship. I've seen some that require 1 GCSE at grades A-E. University requires 5 GCSE's at grade A-C (To get onto A Levels) and 3 A levels usuall in the A/B's and occasionally C's.
Don't come in here and put the people who work their assess off without a wage, down. In my eyes, the University Students get my respect.
(Coming from someone who is studying A Levels and hoping to make it to University)Unfortunately the UK banks only serve the "yuppie" boys and girls who spend mummy and daddies money for them and tend not to work or pay anything in to the British economy until they leave uni and find a job, you guy's who I have the greatest amount of respect for going out to work for a crappy wage and pay stamp then tax when you hit 18, work your backside off for 4 years then eventually come out with a qualification at the end along with 4 years of work experience to back it up...unlike our "academic" peers who wave their degree around yet cannot produce a practical example of what they have studied, such a shame that the government and banks do not look after both parties isn't it.
