I sold some perfume recently and the buyer has emailed me to say I have sent 50m instead of 100ml, I am certain 100ml.
I sent it by Special Delivery, and the weight on the receipt shows 0.255kg.
Is quite a rare perfume and I'm not sure where I can go to weigh it so I can be certain I sent the correct one.
Any other ideas?

could you perhaps email the company who make it? and see if they are able to shed any light on it?
what sort of perfume is it? perhaps someone on here has some they could weigh for you
edit: just done a google for weight of 100ml of perfume and there are some results - but cant really work out some of them
edit again: theres a result for stella mcartney perfume on amazon which has the weight against it, it is 998g for 100ml but think its in some fancy caseWeight Loss - 102lb0 -
I have just weighed 2 perfumes both 50 mls and still new and boxed.they weighed 245grms and 140 grms so I am afraid that doesn't help much. The bottles must vary a lot in weight.
If you mention the fragrance someone might have one?:j I love bargains:jI love MSE0 -
Hi thank you for your time to research. Its Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb. I have weighed some xmas presents - 212 for men weighs 0.405kg and cool water weighs 0.165kg. Both are 100ml. So I'm not really any wiser.
I have emailed the buyer and aksed him to weigh the box, if I am wrong then obviously will issue full refund. I am certain its 100ml though.0 -
ah right, do they weight different to normal ones?Weight Loss - 102lb0

1.7 oz would be about 38grms if it were llbs and ozs
Fluid oz is a liquid measure like pints and litres:j I love bargains:jI love MSE0 -
Can't you tell them to return it in the original packaging for a refund?
How much did they pay?
Are they new to ebay? What is their feedback like?
And lastly when did you send it/they receive it?0 -
The problem is that if the buyer is a scammer, they may well send back a 50ml perfume but not the perfume the seller sent out.
I had a buyer buy an item and claim it was damaged ,she said it was well packed so must have been damaged prior to wrapping. The item was brand new and my OH wrapped it and said it was perfect.
I noticed the buyer had puchased the same item form another seller,so asked her to be sure she hadn't muddled them up but I would refund on return of the same item I had sent out.She said it was OK she would keep it!
I have a feeling she was after a partial refund.
I am not sure how you stand with paypal if you believe you have not received back the item you posted out..........on dodgy ground I assume as usual:j I love bargains:jI love MSE0 -
They took 1 week to pay, £58 it sold for. I sent day after payment on Saturday and they have contacted me this morning. I could ask them to return it, but I would worry I would indeed receive a 50ml bottle. I guess with Paypal, I have the weight of the parcel. Just wish I could get the weight of the perfume!0
