Hey, I have sky TV and I'm thinking of getting the free base 2mb broadband, with this can I keep my BT Line and BT phone package as I dont wish to change this? also what is the 2gb usage cap like in relevance to high web-browsing, is it likely I would go over the usage?
Thanks in advance!
Thanks in advance!

Yes you can keep your BT package. In fact unless you have a BT line they won't sign you up in the first place.
You must check carefully that they can provide you with the base (LLU) service. Check on-line with Sky and samknows.
2Gb is not a lot, I regard myself as a light user, the odd itunes download and a fair amount on the iPlayer, I regularly am in the 25-30Gb region.
The good news is that Sky are not currently enforcing the cap.
PS you could download netmeter to keep an eye on your download traffic.

Im trying to order online but the sky site is crashing, what do I need to order it, viewing card no. etc?0

Viewing card or account number, or log in via your MySky account, or you could give them a ring. I think the initial self install set up cost is around £75.
Standard set-up for existing customers: Standard set-up for existing Sky TV customers taking any Sky box and combination of Sky services is £60, or for existing customers taking Sky Broadband without another Sky box: Base - £75; Mid & Connect - £50; Max - £25 or if you already have or take Sky Talk: Base - £50; Mid & Connect - £25; Max - £0. Non-standard set-up may cost extra. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
You are now able to get a phone line connected by SkyTalk.

" 1.6 If you have chosen to take Sky Talk Line Rental and you do not have a BT compatible line, we may be able to arrange this for you and you will need to pay Sky a connection fee. We will inform you of our current connection fees at the time you book your installation. Sky Talk Line Rental customers do not need to pay any other provider for line rental. "0 -
you can take out a higher rate broadband for about £5 a month also sky talk is free nights and weekends. you keep the bt line but you can also pay bt through sky and this is just £10 per month as opposed to bt at aroung 11.50 per month.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
