Hello
I am asking on behalf of someone else so sketchy details but...
Virgin Media wireless routers, apparently they do not accept non virgin media bought wirless dongles and settings have to be changed.
The details of these settings changes can be had via calling the £ a minute line for 10-12 minutes apparently.
Has anyone got any experience of this and if so can they explain the solution in simple terms for a non tech head?
Have searched this but not come up with the answer, then it depends on the terms put in as to the correct result.
If any other details required ask them i will go ask the person whose kit it is, we are at work and I have access to the ent and they don't.

I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.

Virgin wireless routers are just netgear ones with the Virgin firmware on. I have had no problem connecting many different types of wireless devices to mine, none of them use a netgear wireless dongles. 2 are laptops with built in wireless, a pda and then various other devices.0

I understand the issue to be exclusive to wirless adapter dongles, something about the wep security.I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.0
