Anyone know of an (cash) ISA provider who COMMUNICATES?

Ruffler. I'm now a customer of theirs, and they are fantastic, almost instant response to queries, completely incomparable to the normal "bank" service in the high-street or on-line. But keep it quiet, we don't want them over-run with customers.

I'm now seriously considering opening an account with Ruffler, particularly since their offices are just a short walk from my home. They are quite young having only been in existence since 1969, and are still quite a small bank, but of course they do carry the usual FSCS guarantee. I did notice on reading the accounts, that in little over a year they have had three directors and a key finance position resign ... hmmmm, probably nothing but then again .....
I think it should be flagged up for the benefit of anyone else considering them, that they do have rather high minimum deposit requirements ... the full annual allowance of £3,600 in the case of their ISA, and £15,000 in the case of their other deposit accounts. This may be a bit rich for some people's blood, although it doesn't bother me.
The main thing that's putting me off is that they do not offer on-line banking, and I do like the comfort of going on-line occasionally to check 'that my money is still there'

Smile.co.uk we can communicate by secure message and have always had a quick reply, or we can phone, and it's always a UK call centre we get - we like them so much for servie we have our current account with them too, and our DD's savings account and our mortgage is with their parent company, co-operative.
They only do ethical investments too, which is a bonus for us.:jMember of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

Oh dear, what problems have you had with Britannia? I've had various savings accounts, mostly passbook, with them for more years than I care to remember, and have always had excellent service in their High Street outlets.
Applied to them for their fixed rate ISA. Kent Reliance sent the cheque and Britannia sent it back to them because they had no record of me opening an account.
Full marks to KR who re-instated my account with them without any loss of interest.
Contacted Britannia to find out what was going on. They maintain to have no record of the transfer cheque or my newly opened ISA.
So I sent them copies of the letters from KR as proof but they've not had the common courtesy to reply. 0 -

I see. That is very poor service indeed.
