Sounds like you're using a router with built in firewall software.
Try disabling the firewall temporarily on the router (usually via an IP address typed into your browser, e.g. http://192.168.100.101). Once disabled, go to the egg website and see you're successful. If all is well, you then know that the router firewall software is the problem. If this is the case, I would suggest permanently disabling the router firewall and installing a software firewall as a replacement on your PC - Kerio is as good as any other (and free from https://www.download.com).
A lot of router firewall software attempts to over simplify which sites you can and can't get into, merely offering three options - 'no firewall', 'medium security (default)' and 'maximum security'.
The problem is that even on the medium setting, it stops you from accessing certain sites and merely hangs or behaves strangely.
