I have seen a couple of messages on the forum saying bump or bumpety bump. what does this mean?

I am new on the board so Hi everyone!
I think this site - and this board is great! Thanks all, for making it so!

I have a Q, if someone can help, please. To get some of the freebies mentioned on this site/board, you have to register on the company websites and give them personal information, like my full name, address, date of birth ... I would like to know is it really safe to do that?? I always feel reluctant to do this, in spite of the tempting freebies!

i think its just bumping up the boards. getting more views or something like that in some websites the more posts your thread has it stays at the top of the list. so then more people look at it. i think lol.
