Uswitch & Energyhelpline Who is right

  • The BG expected spend on both websites is £602, therefore the figures there are correct, on both websites.

The problem here is that Energyhelpline says that your current spend is £651 per year, whereas Uswitch says that your current spend is £398 + £163 = £561, therefore Uswitch thinks that your current tarrif is £90 cheaper than Energyhelpline.

How easy it is to work out which is right, I don't know. At least Energyhelpline will give you details on what your current package is, and the unit charges, you'll have to have a look at the latest info from SP to tell if that info is right or not. My guess is that Uswitch is using old prices, as the increase is 16% from £561 to £651...
Having fun trying to save money without going over the top and living on budget food all the time...
  • When ive done comparisons ive found that Energyhelpline and Moneysupermarket give identical figures whereas USWITCH are always completely different.

Perhaps Energyhelpline will consider upping its cashback rates for energy switches to be nearer that which the 100% cashback site offer.
