A quick warning about boffer (a different one)

I for one don't think there is any reason to cancel my account details, I think Boffer are great, I have had three freebies from them and have now made my first actual purchase, items arrive in good time, well packaged etc..Also emails are responded to quickly.
The problem 'some' people have had is that they played a practical joke! some people were offended but to be honest I think mostly the problem was they were not going to receive the freebie (a cattle fertility usb device) and instead were given a code for free delivery during that week....If people were honest they would admit that they didn't need the freebie anyway...yes it was kinda insensitive but we all make mistakes...they have just started out so we should allow for one or two mistakes.
Boffer are fabulous...how many companys do you know give away real items free more than once?
I don't mean to offend but I think some people just need to grow up!
Oh right i see so was about them not getting a freebie,i agree boffer is great to,i will be staying with them cos think they have some great deals on,and if its only about that then will not be leaving them.I agree most people didnt need the freebie, and just do it for the sake of it,i have recieved one freebie from them, but is impossible to get other ones cos people normally hog it and dont let others who may need it get a chance.
The way everyone was talking,i thought boffer was doing something dodgy lol.
Maybe everyone needs to lighten up and see, that at end of the day was a freebie, and was not like you was paying for it,so is not all bad.
Happy freebie hunting people :j0 -
I think that's unfair to comment that people who are offended should grow up.
I wasn't offended but I wasn't that happy with they way they went about it, and having found out who runs the company made me even more unhappy so I decided to get my account closed. I didn't think the thing was particularly funny, in fact it was rather tacky, I appreciate others may feel differently
I have moved on from this and I think the whole thing should now be dropped.
PS actually on reflection all this bad publicity they got has probably increased there business and certainly given the free publicity so perhaps is best dropped

That's not a direct quote...I said 'I don't mean to offend but some people need to grow up'
I have stated in a couple of my posts that if people for genuine reasons were offended ie...those who are trying to conceive then I sympathise and am sure that Boffer are sorry for any offence...
my 'grow up' comment was purely for those that got a bee in their bonnet purely because they didn't receive their freebie...where for 80% of people the free delivery would probably be of more use.
I just wanted this post to show both sides of the story as there seems to be alot of posts condeming the site for one silly mistake.0 -

I got suspicious that I didn't have conformation that they'd removed it and I can still login (after days of emails and forum posts) and it looks like according to their ts and cs I might have to write to them to get them to cancel it
If you want your account removing please message us using the link on the site, it may take a day or so to action but it will be done. We have no problem with removing your details from our database.

I dont see why everyone is getting offended anyway, free delivery would have been alot more use, handy for people on a very tight budget0 -
however...If you read the description, that in itself should have been enough not to take this item seriously...this item was for cattle...apparently altered for humans although there was a disclaimer stated that it may not work anyway...it was a hillarious concept...
I did read the description and it sounded like two almost identical to two products which are currently on the market. The fact that the product was used on animals, before being adapted for human use, and was now in the testing stages for humans before being put up for sale, makes sense. As just about every single product we use has been used on animals before being tested for humans.
Bear in mind that the previous freebie was described with the words: Why are we giving these away? Because nobody would pay for them! Which sounds like a joke item but turned out to be real, so that made the ovulation detector give away appear real too. Especially as it was a give away for an item which does exist.0
