When my DD came out of school she nearly knocked me flying as she rushed to give me a hug and all she's said all night is "I missed you mummy" :o Give her until the end of next week and I bet she won't be missing me as much then ;):rotfl::rotfl:

Nicki - I think you have after school sorted (I'd take Johanne up on her offer as she sounded a bit miffed!)

:rotfl: :o I wasnt miffed!! I meant it as a serious offer as a solution...

I have a man here tomorrow replacing DDs window (some time between 10am-1pm as he's got to do a job which is a case of "how long is a piece of string" type job somewhere else as well :rotfl::rotfl: ) and I need to get a chapter of my text book read so I can make a start on my last TMA (I have a ECA still to do though after that as well ;) ). Then 4th October I start "networked Living : exploring information & communication technologies" which means an overlap of my teaching assistant work, my current course "You and your money" (due to end 3rd November) and this new one  Anyone want to book my place in the padded cell now? :rotfl::rotfl:

    1. 34 fling boogie time, go on grab a bag and clear that clutter
    2. Clean all paintwork on the landing
    3. Clean windows in these rooms
    4. Clear out your tops!! You do NOT need those 'comfy' or the stained tops.. they need flinging.. get them gone.. right now.. go on..

It doesn't have instructions on the packet.. WHAT DO I DO??????????

What you should do with anything technical... ask a man so he has a reason to feel superior :D Or if you're in a hurry, ask a child:rotfl: Just don't drown the kitten...

MO4 - just be careful when you're getting everything replaced, as sometimes people keep an eye out for deliveries after burglaries. Keep stuff out of site of windows when its not being used. Maybe it will encourage the kids to keep their stuff put away safely in their rooms. And I can't remember who said it, but take your keys, bag and mobile with you in the bedroom.

Kaz - (((((hugs))))) Its sounds like life's pretty tough. You need chocolate, alcohol, the bathroom to yourself with some music to block them all out. Assuming you won't get that:rolleyes: ... I'm sure your DD will snap out of it and realise how much she appreciates you soon. I hope work is going well and at least gives you a break from the stress.

johanne - love the pics :T at least you won't notice if it gets any worse, so putting it off for a bit longer shouldn't make a difference

Polkadot - good luck with quitting...

I've managed to get rid of quite a bit of the work backlog (although I've just realised I haven't reviewed all the applications for the vacancy I advertised... maybe the easiest thing is to just interview the lot of them:rolleyes: ). And I've just about managed to keep up with the housework (just some ironing to do)... but I have realised that I've got people coming over for supper tomorrow and can't cook what I've planned as I don't have any puff pastry in the freezer like I though I did. I was going to do goats cheese & vegetables en croute so now I've got to do something with aubergines, courgettes, runner beans, spinach and goats cheese that vaguely resembles a meal... any ideas welcome!

I am so glad I now keep a word doc open to jot down comments as I catch up with the thread - because this time I have gone onto two pages!

DeniseNZ – Thanks for the mention – the jelly seems to have set beautifully – 5 pints of juice (strained) plus 5 pounds of sugar has made 10 and a half jars! (about 2.5l and about 2.5 kg). The jars are of various sizes – but added to the Rhubarb and Ginger and the Blackcurrant I have 15 jars in stock now! And all with free fruit!. I homegrow the other stuff. And I know where there are Sloes! MMMmmmmm Sloe gin!

Mumoffour77 the little b******* - if they are from your village they know what an awful time you and yours have been having! Keep your chin up! Your strength and resilience is an example to us all!

Nicki – good luck with the balancing act - but you are setting a fine example to your DD. My marriage was rocky when I returned to learning (now looking back I can see this – thinks look at your sig Valli!) but I didn’t realise how rocky. Basically he carried on as per – and the juggling/childcare was all down to me. And I had to travel to Uni (I was a mature (yes I was:wink: student) and had to use public transport! But I did it! And I got a 2.2 Hons!

Sarahshattered LOL you are all coming out of the closet now – or should it be pegbag! We have to have control and order somewhere – and IMHO pegs are b***** easy to control!

Vanilla – that’s good news! Well done hubby (and that’s something I have not said before!) :rotfl:

Polka - I think my control journal is in my filing cabinet then – there isn’t anyone to take over – if I’m not here it’s the end of the Valli clan. I am not knocking the control journal – but I went on the Flylady site… and it scared me!

Johanne – thought Nicki was moving…

Nicki – That was a good night! earth sheep :beer: I have now read the answer and I’m still stuck. Clearly some cryptic reminder!

Mudbath – You DO so rock! Mattress!

    Deniseflower – monochrome pegs – how 1940s!

Pigpen – your poor cousin – aren’t they b******* - If they broke in to mine (once – they did) I would want them to just take the stuff and go – I had my bag snatched from indoors – spent time cancelling my loyalty cards – cos the b******* weren’t having my hard earned points. Incidentally (faint) they got my Boots Advantage card – one week before xmas – The points! The points!

Laura – chickens? Story? is this a joke????

Kazmeister – it’s crap isn’t it – two adults – one trying! Hugs!

Soappie – there was a pic in my Sunday paper from the airshow and I thought of you! Dead jealous – when I was with the 1st Mr Valli we would go to Mildenhall…and Alconbury…great days! (I don’t miss him, flymates);)

Johanne – nice dust – Quentin Crisp (The Naked Civil Servant) used to say that after 7 years it never looks any worse! He never dusted!

Pigpen – I used to use dog (anti flea) shampoo on my long haired moggy (now gone to the cat litter tray in the sky) and had a stand up row in the pet shop when the girl told me ‘you can’t bath cats’ – well yes…you can. And they are so thin when they are wet!

Gingergirl – do your Brownie accounts! Now!

Well I have put away the jars of bramble Jelly. There are about 3 hotspots in the dining room so I look like being a very busy Valli tomorrow. Had no time to iron so there is some to do from today! :o

Haven't looked at tomorrow's list yet - but I know I need to post this before I do.
And have eaten some:spam: I was desperate to use that pic!
    Still have kitchen to do:o

    Thankyou thankyou thankyou

My bedroom aka the mistress bedroom as I'm the mistress and there is no master in Valliland is clean enough to pass muster as was level 3'd last week - so it's a kitchen and hallway and stairs catchup for me tomorrow!

    That'll do me!

Night Pigpen - POSITIVE vibes for your sis!

Aaaahhh a word doc open. I wondered how you all managed to keep up withall the posts.

I find it really difficult, especially on the days I'm at work. I lose complete track of everything. :o

Is the list up yet? I must be in bed by midnight (else I turn into a [STRIKE]peg[/STRIKE] pumpkin:D. Gonna do a couple more bits. really struggling with the 34 fling boogie in the kitchen. Dunno why as there's at least one million and 34 things to fling out of the scary cupboard :rotfl:
