School uniform - shall I be bloody minded?

I wonder if writing to the local MP would do any good?
The uniform inspection and subsequent 'consequences' is unneccessary humiliation . The school is surely not above the law?
Following up with a second check to see it the kids have conformed could be seen as harrassment.

We were meant to wear a jumper which had the school logo on it - god knows how I got away with wearing a jumper with no logo on it. And they did do uniform checks.

Is it just me, or does some of the uniform stuff in this thread way OTT? At secondary school, we were expected to wear grey trousers/skirt, but any grey was fine. The only things with the logo on were the tie and jumper.

Could you speak to your LEA re this issue - not so much the availability of the clothing but the requirement to wear logo'd trousers.
