Take my advice and dial in every now and then or you may lose it one day.

    Glad you got it sorted.

I have put it down to one of the joys of computers. Sometimes they work fine. Sometimes a little niggle but easy to resolve. Sometimes a ruddy nightmare but I am the sort of person who will not give in. Stubborn I guess but wish I wasn't.
    Hope you get sorted.

Do you mean dial in using dial up connection?

Yes, just do it for minute or so.

VERY IMPORTANT >> DO NOT INSTALL DOWNLOADED DIALUP SOFTWARE. << VERY IMORTANT

    Set it all manually.

I wonder - I am paying tiscali £12 pa for email anti spam so whether this in itself keeps the address live?

I have three PC's at home but none with modem ---- BUT I did buy an external modem, some time ago for the very purpose of keeping an old btinternet email adress live.

Again thank you for your help

I would never go with Tiscalli on anything other than a free dialup for an Email to use in competitions.

I even played safe when they asked for telephone number and gave them my 0844 one.

You can't get better than Zen but they do cost a little more than most.
