Dilemma re: car insurance and student
Comments

DD sold her car when she started Uni. She is in London and couldn't afford the higher insurance, congestion charge and parking. She has had 4 weeks holiday this summer and we put her as named second driver on our car and it only cost an extra £50 - although we did change insurers at the same time! Our original ins company wanted to charge an extra £1200!"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0

I am with Bell, and they seem to have no problems about adding drivers etc to their policies - they have been great and really helpful with it woop!

Ka7e, did you put her on as temporary second driver or for the whole year? Not all insurance companies seem to accept younger drivers as second named. Who was your insurance with? Thanks0
