old threads submitted- is it possible to delete them?

Really sorry if this has been asked before but just wondering if it's possible to delete old threads that are on the User CP? If so, how?

Click on UserCP then List Subscriptions. Go to the page/s of threads that you want to delete. At the far right there are check boxes. Tick the boxes of the threads you want to delete. If you want to delete the whole page check the box at the very top that is directly next to the word notification. Once you have checked the boxes scroll down and just above where it says Page 1 of XXX there is a pull down box that says Selected threads...move to folder. Click on move to folder and the option to delete subscription comes up. Click that and job done!

Thank you so much for your help. Will this delete the threads off the forum altogether? Would like to be able to do this with the old, old threads if possible.

You're very welcome.

but no, basic users like us can't totally delete threads off the forum. I think only Admins, Forum manager and Martin have that pleasure (maybe board guides too, I'm not sure)

You can, if you wish, edit a post to remove its content. However if anyone quoted the original post, that will remain visible.

It would be nice if you could delete a thread that you have created. solving clutter issues, mistaken thread posts and\or no longer needed.
