Iv now gotten used to doing my own comp lists (I'm actually ahead of myself) and the comping guide is very useful and explains well. Thanks to those that have taken the time to compile it ....but I have a query.

Say I went through and did the comps ending 03/09 yesterday and wanted to see if there were any recently added today. For the options, would I select:

    Thread Title/Ascending/ and then "day"?

    or

    Thread Start time/Ascending/ then day?

Does "day" mean comps that have been added since the last day you looked?
I hope you understand what I mean.

    Thanks.

Use the subscribe method. Sort the comps by end date, enter all the ones you want to and subscribe to the thread (thread tools - subscribe to thread). If you also subscribe to the ones you look at but don't want to enter then it will have a tick beside each comp. Then you can sort them a few days later and any without ticks beside them are new that you haven't looked at.

I'm sorry, that probably doesn't make sense?

Hi, just sorted out Firefox and Snap Links which works great - one question - my Roboform toolbar thingy has now gone missing - is there a way I complete names and addresses quickly in Firefox with Snap Link?

    Thanks

    Spacebabe,

I think i understand what you mean.... so, as I do each comp i subscribe to that individual comp so that when I look at the list again the next day or whenever, the ones iv already entered (or looked at) will show a tick so I know not to look at it again?

Thats a good tip too.. many thanks!

Yes that's right. I've gone through all the comps for 04/09 and subscribed to every single one. Then on the 4th I will do it again and just enter the ones without ticks.

It will take a while to get yourself up to date but should make everything easier in the long run.

  • Hey for all those undertaking the challenge and getting up to date after having used the c***s e**ing (see I didn't mention it:p ).......

I think I have a system that might help us all, although I reckon theres others that probably already do it.
    So:
    1) I brought up all comps from last day and started at the last page,

    2) Then after entering that comp I searched all the others from that same site in another page.
(for example it was from the 'Closer' site)
This way I don't have to keep loging into Closer for example after clearing cookies.
So I entered all the comps that had been listed in the last 24 hrs (that interested me) and also those from the same sites, that had been posted previously.

Also, thanks to those who suggested subscribing to posts that has been a big help
I hope that makes sense and saves someone some time.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it ....

Kisto posted this in discussion thread

The way to find comps by ending date on here is:

Scroll to the bottom of the main competition forum. There are some drop down boxes (under the heading display options).

    Choose:

    sorted by - "thread title"
sort order - descending or ascending
(what ever is your personal preference)

The threads on the forum are then organised by the ending date stated in the thread title. Navigate your way through the pages until you find the ending date you want. Now that divadee has gone to great lengths to ensure they are all titled correctly, the threads are actually very well organised into groups.

Hope this helps you out a little :D
