Maybe think of it differentley, a learning curve, do it often enough and it will be second nature, also think of the added bonus, say u want a weekend away, u can do all those comps ahead of time by sorting via title, u wont be sitting around in the evening waiting for lists to go up, you will be in charge of when u comp xxxxxxx :)

once you've cracked it it will be a breeze....... as long as we keep things as tidy as divadee left them:o

Either in the latest Sainsbury's Fresh Ideas magazine, or the You magazine with the Mail on Sunday (31st August) there was a competition over a two page spread in a sort of advertisement feature format, for a short story writing competition for children. The prize I think was a PC, and maybe a holiday to somewhere beginning with V (maybe Venice?)
My sister wrote a short story to enter (it had to be 1000 words), but we lost the magazines. So if anyone could help me find the details of the competition, including where to send the entry, it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

Once you are up to date. The best bet is to sort them into thread start date, descending order, when you get to one you've thanked, you stop.

Iv now gotten used to doing my own comp lists (I'm actually ahead of myself) and the comping guide is very useful and explains well. Thanks to those that have taken the time to compile it ....but I have a query.

Say I went through and did the comps ending 03/09 yesterday and wanted to see if there were any recently added today. For the options, would I select:

    Thread Title/Ascending/ and then "day"?

    or

    Thread Start time/Ascending/ then day?

Does "day" mean comps that have been added since the last day you looked?
I hope you understand what I mean.

    Thanks.
  • i think the best thing would be to sort by thread start time so the ones added today are first and just look down the list for any with the end date you want
