I don't know what was on his avatar before but I think someone has hacked his profile and added a picture of a young fit bloke :rotfl::p

To view avatars on your user cp, scroll down to thread options and tick the "Show Avatars" box. IF that doesn't work, then maybe your browser is blocking the images!

Hi again, im stuck, I put them in ascending order and by thread title, when I search the threads dont appear in order I get for example december ending dates in with September and October find it kinda stressful searching due to slowness of internet connection. As I said earlier doing this on diallup can someone please take me through it again on how to do this arrgh!

p.s: thanks for making the changes sorry if I dont understand them :-(

I feel as if my point is being completely missed here. It isn't obvious to me. I haven't been here reading all the posts about this and I'm sure there are others who haven't been reading every post on this thread, so unless a STICKY announcement is posted explaining that a decision is being made by the board guides about the comps ending posts is pending and that we are being asked not to discuss it and why HOW ON EARTH ARE WE SUPPOSED TO KNOW? I'm not telepathic.

I asked a question and various people have jumped up to tell me to respect the board guides. I'm not disrespecting them, I'm asking why we aren't allowed to discuss this, i've not been involved in any other discussions and nobody is giving any reasons why we have been told not to mention the subject! I just keep being told not to!

I never said there was a conspiracy, just that some people who have been involved are making a big assumption that everyone else knows what is going on and is willfully disobeying orders (orders! lol).

Why can't we use the system that has been used in the past for communicating - i.e. explaining what is going on via a sticky, so that everyone can see there is information we need to know. The only thing we have is information on how to sort the posts now, not all the background and ongoing stuff around it - that would have been useful and saved all this bother.

I hope that is clear now and once again, I think a friendlier tone would be helpful as well - I feel some people went straight into slapping wrists mode without considering the lack of information I and others are functioning under.

It doesn't sound like it has arranged them properly for you. I've just sorted by "thread title", "descending" and the comps ending are all in date order.

As an example all the comps ending on 02/09 are grouped on page 146 onwards.

The main reason why we have been asked not to discuss it further is because of bickering between people which gets out of control. As soon as the subject of the comp ending lists comes up, arguments start. Its best to be left until a decision is made.

Morning all!

Kirsteenatom... sorry you feel there is some sort of conspiracy, but there really isn't. If you have a look through the old Discussion Thread (number 6) here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=934935 and, in fact, the previous one, you will see that this has been discussed many times. It was also discussed in several comps ending lists themselves. Until the past week where I seem to have been on here all the time I too have only dipped in and out, but have still seen these discussions and been able to have my say. The discussion thread is always where this sort of thing is brought up and so it hasn't been hidden from anyone - this page is a sticky and so there for everyone to have a look at.

Anyway, the whole point of comping is to have some fun and win a few bits... it's not meant to be a chore and not meant to cause stress or a feeling of 'having' to do it. It's just a hobby. Some have more time than others and so can enter more, normally I do about half an hour in the morning and up to an hour max in the evening and still have won some really nice things. If I miss a day it doesn't matter, I normally don't bother catching up I just go for the new ones - I haven't lost out on anything.
