i've not been up long... that's my (poor) excuse, and i'm sticking to it!! i was more suprised to see that comment from that user which is why i went back and realised i was stupid..... at least i know my own stupidity lol :happyhear0 -
he doesnt want paypal,so you cant get a refund..
he wants to meet in a bus station, (when i live near him.) so i dont know his address to go back to if it doesnt work, it only takes a couple of days to get your money from paypal...does he want drug money??..i just think it all sounds a bit odd, if not stolen..and i as a woman would not want to meet anyone in Notts(gun capital uk) with over £100 quid cash on me....
Someone offers to carry out the transaction in a safe public place with plenty of people around and makes a perfectly reasonable request for cash on collection, and you've deduced that they are a gun-toting thief and a junkie?0 -
Hi all its chap1991 here off ebay. Thanks to some very kind MSE person who sent me the link - you know who you are thank you.
I would like to add the laptop is NOT stolen neither is it dodgy. But as i have been accused of being dodgy, i will offer pick up with cash on collection from my house.
If any of you are interested, let me know. Cheers chap1991 xxxxx0 -

Hello there "alleged" seller.
Your grasp of grammar and spelling has improved since your listing... It's got capitals, punctuation and everything!:rolleyes:
Maybe use your new skills to put together a new listing and ME page on Ebay.0 -

m centre lately? thats all thats there:rotfl:
ok..maybe it might not be stolen but it all sounds dodgy to me and i still think there would be more than him waiting to meet me...and who do yoou think would help if i got mugged there?? Certainly not you lot who think its innocent!
ps I have met someone before at Buxton Sainsburys but they were buying a guitar and were willing to come a long way and i had family with me on a day out.
It didnt sell so most people thought what i did...

This was one of those programmes where they follow the cops (probably BBC1) and the police caught the guys 'selling' with bags, water and 1 laptop in their car!! They pleaded innocence so the cops followed them and this is how they caught up with the guy that bought the fake laptop, they stopped his car went over and said 'can I have a look in your bag' and then gave him a huge lecture about buying from the side of the road and that he had been lucky they had seen the transaction take place!!
I remember that programme too.
When they caught up with the conmen they had one laptop in a bag, some more empty laptop bags and a box full of bottles of water - plus wads of cash. They'd had a good day!
 At least the real laptop wasn't reported stolen0 -
