It's easy. If you can use a hammer and a saw then you can make a stud wall. The only professional help you may need is a plasterer to skim the finished walls.

The only thing I would add is a 'chop' saw:D

Perhaps look at a cheaper mitre saw, about £30 at a shed. Would save you a lot of time.

I'd get a nail puch too, you'll cause less damage - I learnt the hard way ;)

.......and a nice SHARP Stanley Knife or similar for cutting / scoring the plasterboard with plenty spare blades if it's a large area.

Stud walls are a doddle. Just make sure that your level is accurate. Mine wasn't and I didn't find out till I had finished. You do not need to get it skimmed if you use feather edge board and scrim the joints, before filling them. Just don't put tiles on the wall before it has had several coats of emulsion. I made that mistake and when we took the tiles off, they brought the paper of the plaster board with them. Requiring the wall to be re- boarded.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

Easy to use Gyproc metal stud, a pair of snips and electric screw gun, 400mm centers and no need for noggings.
Pre-made slots if you need the thread cable or pipes through the wall.

Hard pressed to find straight timer nowadays

stud walls are easy enough, but you asked for a stud wall building, slightly different.
