Well, I finally got home just before 9.30pm, exhausted but very glad to have met so many of you.
Dalip - many thanks for your hospitality this afternoon - lunch was lovely, & you & your OH are great people. I've left you a voicemail as well. Thanks also for arranging the meet - I told you & I'll tell everyone that I wouldn't have had the patience or the determination to get everyone together, & you did a brilliant job.
Bat - thanks for your kind words yesterday. You reduced me to tears with your words & your sincerity, & I won't forget what you said. It was much appreciated.
The voice - many thanks to you all for listening to me singing. I don't hear my voice the way others do because I've always had it if you see what I mean, so it always comes as rather a shock to hear people praise it. I've had no proper training - I just open my gob & out it comes, so I thank God for it every day. When I'm doing some shows, I'll let you all know.
Thanks to all those who came - it was so nice to meet you all, & though I had bit of a journey to get there, it was well worth it & I really enjoyed myself.
Last but not least, thanks to the Three Pears. I had a lovely double room (tv, ensuite, lovely comfy bed etc) all to myself, but my beauty sleep was ruined by some people who thought it was OK to bang doors at gone 2am & then go running down the corridor at 6.30am. When I spoke to the receptionist about it after checking out, she gave me a full refund of my £55. :T Well done, Three Pears - there was no quibbling about it at all: they offer a full refund if you don't get a good night's sleep, & they were true to their word. I had no issues with the room itself, & I'd definitely stay with them again.
It's about time I went to my bed now, so I hope everyone got home safely & is busy planning their saving for next year's do.BSC #53 - "Never mistake activity for achievement."

after a good nights sleep i have a few ideas i would like to run though you all for nxt year:rotfl: . No time like the present:o .
Was wondering if maybe may bank hol(either may 3rd/4th or may 24/25th) would be a good time so we could stop sat & sun night. If everybody is happy with the 3 pears as a venue then we could make it there again, after much govelling to the manager that is;) .I could organise something for the sunday for a change of scenery. Anyway let me know your thoughts.

Morning Dalip. Glad you are feeling refreshed now. Thank you for your company.
Bank Holiday in May sounds great. Either one sounds good to me. The 3 Pears was an excellent venue and had every thing we needed so I'm happy with that. As soon as we have a date I will book a room.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -

Morning Mummy - in - law
Big thanks again for all of your organising
Can I ask why we have to wait until next May??? A weekend is a great idea but May....that's potentially NINE months you know  How on earth do you expect me to last that long??
As you know Dave and I will always have a special place in our hearts for you, so the feelings go the same way. After the 'little push', the advice and the support you have shown us both how could we not love you to bits?
Fate is a very strange thing and never for a second would I have thought that declaring myself BR would lead to me meeting the man of my dreams and making some incredible friends. You are all amazing people and I feel truly privileged to be able to call you friends.

P.S. My camera 'snuffed it' early on in the evenings so I want lots of photo's delivered to my email address!!
Anne - thanks for sharing your experiences with me and showing me so much support. I never thought I would meet somebody else who has the same medical condition and in a strange way it has made me realise that I need to 'own up' to how this affects my life.BSC Member 59 - AD 29th March 2008
