I can't help you with local info but I can confirm that Broseley is one of the better British manufacturers.
Hope that's some help.0 -
I would recommend Batley Barless Fireplace Co which is on the HETAS list if they do the sort of system you require. I have no link with the company, I just bought from them some years back.
List of installers nationwide from

click on left 'Find an Installer' gives you the following pdf

Sorry can't do better than this.
I'm wondering if cast iron is better than part steel construction for long lasting finish and use. If anyone has an idea pm me so we don't hijack the thread. No longer half of Optimisticpair

I'll take the risk of being a hijacker because I think a lot of people get confused by this. I know I did!
When I bought my first stove, I was thoroughly convinced by the 'pub wisdom' that cast iron was 'better' - despite having been told by several retailers that this isn't necessarily the case.
Having now had both cast iron and steel stoves and having talked to various installers, owners and my tame sweep (who is also the installer for the biggest local stove retailer) I've come to the conclusion that the original information I was given was right - a well made steel stove is fine and far better than a dodgy cast iron one.
The advantages of cast iron are that it retains heat for longer (a minor factor - it also takes longer to warm up!) and it looks good - particularly because manufacturers can mould it into intricate shapes, with fine ornamental detail.
Against cast iron, it is expensive and it can crack if abused or if a casting fault shows up later in life.
Steel can't be moulded into such interesting shapes, so steel stoves tend to look less attractive. They cool down quicker (though heat-up more rapidly) but they are cheaper to build and thus to buy.
I'm sure I've forgotten some other factors, but those are, I think, the key points.
My conclusion (for what its worth) is that it doesn't really matter. Pick the one you like the look of and can afford and providing you buy from a reputable manufacturer, you won't be making a mistake, whichever material your stove is made from.

The Broseley Fires 30B is a fantastic stove and can be found here:
http://www.hotprice.co.uk/2118/3995/products/broseley-hercules-30b-multifuel-boiler-stove.html
They are on a 4-8 week delivery as Broseley can't keep up with the demand.
If you call the company above they are offering free 1 metre of stove pipe and closure plate and i'm sure they can do a bit better on price :j0
