To be honest..I really don't know...probably file for bankruptcy like loads of others.
I used to have so much energy and so much drive and determination and it just seems to have disapppeared....positivity was my middle name and before now we have worked 20 hours a day each both driving the cab and operating the phones on a small cab company and we did that for 12 months to get a small firm off the ground...wish I could find my grit and determination again.

HI taxi, sorry you are feeling down, it's very understandable. It's a depressing time of year with the cold weather and dark evenings. Not to mention that you and I will shortly be 45, it's hard to feel very pleased about that!
I strongly believe you and your OH will be OK whatever the economy does. You are hard workers and you have paid off 30k debt in a year where you've had lots of problems. You could survive a big drop in income. It's understandable that you should worry but try not to. I know that's easy to say but I really do feel that you will be fine.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -

True ..our boss at the office has cut our fares by 30%..so we're already at a loss that was a big shock as well but you are right.I have to look on it that Blackpool is quite a poor place so maybe job losses won't be so bad and maybe we will get the customers.0 -

Don't worry. Nothing depraved or illegal.

Taxi - I think it is the job that is making you feel like that. My OH is exactly the same. He is out now and has been for 5 hours and has just phoned to say he has a grand total of £40.00 for his efforts - without deducting anything for fuel or settle. There have been loads of arguements in his office at the moment over petty things because there isnt enough work to go round so minor squabbles become major and for the first time ever he is seriously thinking about doing something else. I know it really gets him down a lot of the time and he is lacking in energy at the moment. The thought of christmas and new year is keeping him going at the moment with double fare coming up but god knows what January will bring.
Nothing you or him can do though apart from keep going and you will come out the other side. Set yourself smaller goals for the next year until you know exactly what is going to happen. Then you wont put too much pressure on yourself - x x x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

It doesn't really matter how many people lose their jobs, so long as you're not one of them...
And someone less DFW than you would struggle with a reduction in income more than you will."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)
