Renewing o2 contract - need advice on what to say!

Hi
I've been an o2 customer for a few years now. Every year I renew my contract for a £100 credit and remaining on my current tariff (£15 per month). This time I was told I could still get the credit but if I did that the cheapest tariff I could get would be £25!!. The only other alternative was to go on simplicity at £10 per month.
Can anyone advise as to anything I can say to try to get the credit and stay on my current tariff? They say the tariffs have all changed and 'computer says no' basically lol! I tried the whole "I'm not too happy with that, I'll have to look to see what is on offer elsewhere..." and they just said "ok, get back to us if you want any of the above offers".
The thing is I have to keep o2 as I have my broadband with them...and I think they know it!
Any help appreciated!
Thanks!

Why do you have to keep your broadband with them??
What deal have you currently got mins/texts?
The words you need to say are 'Can I have my PAC code please'

I get my broadband for £7.50 a month because I'm an o2 mobile customer.

To be honest I'm not sure what my tariff is but I'm never anywhere near the allocation (I never really use it to call and only send approx 75-100 messages a month).

Would I find any better deals elsewhere though? I don't need a new phone.

Broadband is only discounted by £5 for being an o2 customer, but I would ask for my PAC code and expect a call from retentions, don't request the £100 credit, just go for the lowest monthly tarrif you can get.

    Thanks Moike,

Looks like the £10 per month would be the cheapest option. It was retentions that I spoke to. I know I'm not a big spender but I thought they would have tried to do a bit more to keep a customer.

    Anyway, cheers for the advice!

You could even be cheeky and say that the only way you will stay with them on SIM only is for them to waive the broadband cost entirely for a fixed period (say a few months). If you are only sending 100 texts a month you can usually get that as a treat from O2 even if you spend a nominal amount on Pay and Go, it depends on how many minutes you use;).
