Rehome an unwanted prize or gift with a seriously ill child through Postpals.co.uk
  • New to this site - just registered today, looking for something else and just looked to see what the 'charity' forum was about. I've checked the FAQ and I think I'm allowed to say this!

Children United! Registered Charity number 1098864. Works in India, helping to build and run schools, orphanges and children's hostels. Also creches and women's refuges. Every penny donated goes to the children, no admin. costs / overheads etc. You can choose which project you would like your money to go to. We don't do individual child sponsorship as it isn't fair for some children to receive letters / pressies and other children not to. All 'staff' are volunteers, don't even claim expenses. The website is:-

    www.childrenunited.ik.com

I did read that donations have to go through Justgiving or similar, so happy to register with them.

I really like the charity Hope for Children which helps children who are Handicapped, Orphaned, Poor or Exploited (hence the name) in various locations around the world. Have a look here to see if it's the kind of charity you are looking for:
