funnily enough I was looking at an old course we used to run at work today'Financial Literacy with Maths' - interest etc, how to understand the different banking stuff with maths examples thrown in. Not sure why they don't run it now, I think it would be useful.

    Well...........:(

I may actually have no job at all by the end of next week. I honestly have no idea what we are going to do.

I was told that this new job would be pretty much guaranteed (even though no mention of salary:rolleyes: ) but it seems that not enough students have enrolled this year so I guess that explains why no one would give me a straight answer.

The job that I took in May is under threat as I am only part time and this year the students will have to pay unless they are on benefits very low level of interest so far. Case of last in first out I suppose and they dont mess about with getting rid of unwanted expenditure.

I may be left with 2 evening classes if I am lucky:o We cannot manage on that. I have been searching job sites for the past 2 hours but there is nothing at all.

    Fukcing Government:mad:

I guess with people having less money available, their part-time courses have to go on the back burner. That sucks :(

I tell you what else it is too, bloody snobbery as we are maybe not in the most glamorous location but we got a bloody fabulous ofsted report but STILL parents still wont send there kids there so we basically get the scraps.

I am going to shut up now before I get myself into trouble.

I may just lurk tonight and chip in every now and again but sorry I wont be much fun.:o

what do you teach Louise? Could you do Skills for Life? ESOL etc? Are there are skills you have which you could use for teaching something you don't normally - say, a GCSE in a subject you have an A level in?

Are you at an FE college or council Adult Learning?
