A projector is just fabulous.
We have one in a room we converted in the roofspace. This isn't a great picture but to give a perspective the picture is about 8 feet high.
nice ... but its still a dream to me :-/0 -

... and for the same price or less you could have actually spent at least two weeks lying on that beach, watching nature, swimming that ocean, snorkeling that reef. I know what I'd rather do! Each to their own.
I vote this thread the biggest waste of time, energy and emotional resources this month (other that the very first post which was a good attempt at contributing).
Will I, won't I, did you, how come I haven't, why don't, how come, if only, ... blah, blah zzzzzz

The bulbs have came away down in price, ie for mine I think it's in the region of £130 and we estimated that our should last at least 2 years. And yes the projector can be set up for any normal PC output, DVD player, normal TV, or playstation etc.
(It is most most fantastic for DVD concerts though.)
And that projector is an Epson, which can be bought for about £700 now, so they are becoming much more affordable, even more so at £ 20I started off with nothing and I've still got most of it left.0 -

I see Dell are advertising the 540 printer in today's edition of The Sun.
I smell a rat!
Thousands of punters lured in for the chance of a £1000 pie-in-the-sky projector for peanuts. Next to that is a printer that nobody particularly wanted, but also at a too-good-to-miss price.
Now there's thousands of disappointed punters around the country, all with an expert knowledge of the capabilities of the Dell Photo Printer 540, who all of a sudden are no longer satisfied with their Epson colour inkjets.
But the Dell printer's still for sale. And for many it's affordable.................
>:(0 -
Are they still selling it for £20 the printer0
-
Nah. £139 I'm afraid.0

There's no rat. What you can smell is the Sun's unwashed "journalists"!
