  • I've bought many a book off amazon for even less than that - some only 1p. Remember though that there is a fixed postage price *per item* which is where they actually make back the money - the cost of posting a paperback for instance is substantially less! Of course, the books at this price are hardly in "mint" condition... On the scale of Mint, Fine, Good condition, etc, they usually fall in the "only fit for reading" category!

Remember also that the second hand books are from third party sellers, although amazon seem to control them a bit more tightly than, say, eBay..

Won't it make you sad if it has library stamps? Memories of times gone by? And you've been doing so well to put it all behind you... ;)

Erm, it's a book what else would you do with it?

I can afford it. The descp. is good copy ex library with stamps and marks.
A copy is ok. For 2p you can’t really expect an original.

Stamps are ok too but Marks have gone and have been replaced by the Euro.

    I hope that helps. :)
  • Oh PP, are you trying to make Philly cry.

Some people seem to collect them... signed first editions in mint condition of some books, would sell for a lot more, for instance, and are unlikely ever to be actually read...

If you paid less than 2p, other than 1p, how much did you pay?

OK, I get it. You bought 3 books for 2p total. :D
