I respect your opinions ( I may not seem to but I do) and very much apologize if I have hijacked this thread. My intention was not to do so. I'm sorry if I offended anyone here but I expressed my opinions and maybe (probably) they came out all wrong.Scoot - you apologised in an earlier post for going off topic - I therefore resisted and respected the urge to reply but you continue.
You assume too much, you will find not everyone who has kids doesnt work, I probably pay more tax than you (although that is an assumption based on your attitudes), everyone I work with who has kids is in a similar boat. There is a minority (albeit growing) of society that has kids, doesnt work, unfairly claims disability, is an illegal immigrant etc of whom I despise but you cant go hijacking theads with these assumptions. It's a political balls up but what can you do !
Everyone on these forums are here to save money and maximise everything they are entitled to - to not do this is foolish. If there are any benefits available to me, any loopholes I can take advantage of then I do so, there would be no point not doing so. Similarly when a motorway lane is closing off I stay in the closed lane as late as possible, apparently that is actually the most efficient way to deal with a lane closure and if I dont do it lots of others will. There is no point taking any moral high ground that then leaves you disadvantaged.
Enjoy your Sun holiday, whoever takes up the offer.0 -
Can I be cheeky and jump on the scroungers bandwagon looking for a priority booking form.. Like others who only started Sun Holidays within the last 12 months I didnt get one in the post
(the Sun have sent me Vue cards and all kind or carp in the post but not the booking form!)
pwetty pweese.Praying at the church of MSE should be compulsory!

I usually get a priority form but not this time. I am feeling a little paranoid that I haven't got one because I am so used to getting them. I hope I'm not off their VIP list.[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica]

Hi
I posted a few days ago asking for any spare codes, so if anyone has one I would be sooooo grateful. Have also started my own thread on this.
Please pm me if you have one spare, thanks0 -
Oh dear what a palaver over a bargain holiday..I love these hols and often take 87 y/o who enjoys them as much as I do. We consider £38 for 2 of us from Mon to Fri exceptional value. I'm 61 so neither of us has young children any more but we like to see them enjoying themselves, and we haven't forgotten we were children once too!
Re other people paying for my pension, I worked from 14 til 58 with a 9 year break to have my family, and paid into a private pension scheme as well as NI. My very small private pension of £174 a month is taxed  - I pay just under £40 a month and have just had a letter to say I have underpaid and I owe a further £200!!! My state pension is not funded by todays workers but by the money I paid in for 35 years.
Everyone's situation is different so please don't generalise..and do enjoy your holidays wherever, whenever, and with whomever you go :A0 -
Have been taking Sun short breaks for about 5 years, and they haven't sent me a priority booking form this time either.

Have emailed the Sun to see if I can get a ref no. but not holding out much hope now as it's pullout day too. Oh well. Guess I'll have to wait until next spring then. Boo Hoo.0 -

If you are referring to my post I didnt mean to imply you hadnt paid for your pension. All I meant was that by the time some of us are drawing a pension, any money we paid in would be gone and it would be up to future generations to provide money for us.0 -
As a lot of people have mentioned they didn't get their priority forms, and I didn't get one either this time, I emailed the Sun customer services to ask why we didn't get one. I was a bit surprised by the response I got which reads exactly like this:
Dear Reader
Thank you for your email regarding The Sun Holidays.
The priority forms are generated at random by our central database computer and we have no control over this. Although you have received the form in the past, your details have not been selected by the computer this year. We cannot manually despatch duplicate priority book forms.
If you have moved address, your details will NOT appear on our database until you have applied for a Sun Holiday, we can not manually add you to our database. You will have to apply using the application form in the paper.
Priority forms are prepared and sent by us in good time, however once they are in the postal system, delivery is beyond our control.
Please accept our apologies for any disappointment caused.
Kind regards
Online Team
So there we go. I hope this isn't going to happen every time 'cause these short breaks are my lifesavers twice a year!!0 -
I received 3 Priority forms and 2 special offers for sites this year so far,
I gave the special offers away on here on my other posts, as the dates where not confident for us
probably next year I wont get one :-) pot luck I guess
If you find this useful - please click "thanks!"

Can priority codes be used by someone other than whom it was intended? Whenever we book our sun holidays our address comes up automatically I think!!0
